Is anyone really surprised with his spiel at this point? Of course he's going to criticize Pep and support Enrique. If Enrique left or was sacked then Futbol would immediately become his #1 critic. If Pep came back, futbol would become his #1 supporter, talking about him being the greatest manager to ever grace the game. This isn't really surprising.

It's hilarious that these days, when Pep fails to win a CL with Bayern (which he may do yet), he's apparently achieved nothing with Bayern

Brother, you need to understand a couple of things

1) if I have badmouthed Di Marzio, I've done so only for fun and most of all only to spite you and ES.
I know full well he's more reliable than the rest, but he's your inverse Pardew, if you catch my drift. The fact you feel the need to insist on his credibility proves my windup worked.

2) not just Di Marzio was reporting Pep to City rumours in the past, but also all kinds of drunkards, clowns and comedians ranging from Didi Hamann to Tancredi Palmeri. Pep leaving Bayern for City was reported to happen as early as summer 2014, then again last summer, because of all kinds of ridiculous reasons, and it all proved wrong.

If there's rumours about one of your own all the time, you push back, I'm sure you of all people can understand.
It's like if Pogba was joining Barca next summer, you'd still have been right to push back to silly Pogba rumours in the last windows.

I'd love him to go to United. It would be a challenge for him which I'm sure he would succeed. It's true that in England there are 2-3 more hard teams than in other leagues, but differently from in Germany or La Liga, you then don't need 90+ points to win the league.

I'm sure with the consistency he brings to the table, he could make United a champion team in his first season, kicking out the rotten apples if there's any (Rooney?), adding a couple of pieces and developing to the max some misused players (Herrera, Martial).

Or he could take a sabbatical and wait for us to resign him when Luis Enrique leaves.

Pep is smart not a coward for going to City, there is nothing wrong with going to a club that gives you the best opportunity to succeed. Almost every manager does the same.

Hope he gets exposed though if he choses City.

I wouldn't go that far. Even in BM it took a year for him and the team to adjust together (Yes, he did win 4 titles including the league). At United he'll have a big task depending on their activities in the transfer window.
