He is 19 and playing his first few games of professional first division football with new mates and a new coach. I would be surprised if he wasnt green. He is definitely good enough to play for us. We have the likes of Roberto,Rafinha, Sandro, Munir, Gumbau etc filling up he youth quota and getting a lot of playing time. Halilovic is much more talented than all of them.

He is talented, but I was very tired of watching him dissappear with the B last season. Let's see what he becomes. His game vs. Malga was obviously fantastic and really looked great.

Wouldnt put much stock into the B performances. For one, the team as a whole was struggling. Very difficult to review individual performances when the whole team is playing badly and has zero confidence. Just take a look at Chelsea.
Secondly( and this is a point you yourself had raised if I remember correctly). The really good players are the ones who tend to step up their game when they go up a level. Might be that he was too good for the B team and needed a step up to perform.

Good arguments. It is true that really talented and good players seem to improve when put in a higher level.

I'm less skeptic on him now, specially after this Malaga game. Let's hope he can continue improving and become something especial. Although our midfield will be very stacked if we sign Pogba or Verratti (hope not) next season. But he is very young and could have time even to replace Rakitic later on.

I would like to see us keep him and start giving him some time next year. As Alex says, we have a bunch of scrubs in our ranks getting time, Halilovic and Samper are good enough that I would like to start seeing them get time.

Has been Sporting's best player so far this season. Seems the ideal place for him to spend the rest of the season. Hope he can keep up his form and stay injury free.

Surely it's a no-brainer to have him back at FCB for the 2016-17 season...
