Re: Anthony Martial
His best position is the Messi role... but short of that, you can use him as either a 10, left side wing striker or CF. It's doesn't really matter. Key is to get him the ball often.
At Man U, Rooney is an incompetent CF... that's the issue. If you put a true 9 with Martial it would work great.

Re: Anthony Martial
He's unlucky to have signed for United after Sir Alex was gone. He would've done a terrific job developing him.
He's very talented and deserves an elite manager to watch over him, not lvg.

Re: Anthony Martial
He was fantastic as a striker tbh, no idea why LVG put him on the left wing.
Actually i do but lets not go there lol.

Re: Anthony Martial
Because where are you going to put Rooney then. He tried Rooney as a CM and a 10... he was awful at both. Now he's trying him at CF. At least at CF, Rooney doesn't impact the defensive shape while he's lazy....
Not sure why Rooney is a shoe in to start tbh.

Re: Anthony Martial
It was working fine, the real issue was playing Schneiderlin and Schweignsteiger together as they both do practically nothing.

DD said it was only a big knock... nothing broken and no tears. So it's just a matter of pain tolerance until it heals.

Re: Anthony Martial
Martial dedicates Golden Boy to 'incredible, formidable' Man United fans.
"I am very happy and honoured to have won the Golden Boy, it was a surprise for me... A great Christmas gift."
"I'd like to dedicate it to our fans, they are incredible, formidable, they travel from anywhere... can always hear them singing."
"The comments I hear (about transfer fee) don't bother me... I was just in a hurry to move to Manchester and play football."
Congrats to him. Deserved. He's the been the glimmer to what has been an underwhelming season so far.

Time for this. With the team being build around Ibra, Martial could develop better. Also, that joke of a coach that we've had last 2 seasons left. Perfect timing, let's hope for the best regarding United and Martial's development.

Re: Anthony Martial
Wow. I didn't know about this interview. I love this guy even more now. He is very clever, funny, calm, confident, his mind is prepared for anything and physically he has what is needed to succeed.
Hopefully he will learn to speak English better this season.

Yeah. I thought he will stay with the #9, but it's fine with #11 too in my opinion.

Re: Anthony Martial
He needs to play more often and for more minutes.
He needs to capitalize on his recent good form to gain confidence and to prep for the big games and to hone his current scoring instincts and develop them to the next level.
Rashford is one injurt away from mediocrity. Rashford has dash speed that is allowing him to overtake his opponents but he lacks the dribbling skills and doesnt have the instincts of a natural scorer.
If Rashford were to be injured, Martial should be there to pick up the pieces and there is no telling whether Rashford will get back to his form after that.
Ofcourse this is all in theory but is in foresight rather than hindsight.
Definitely something worth looking at by Mourinho and his Team.
