Re: The Douglas Costa is a Beast and you couldn't see it Thread
He's not staying at Bayern beyond this season.
Where will he end up?
Replacing Cuardado at Juve?
Replacing James at Madrid?
Replacing Lucas Moura at PSG?
Completing the Brazilian trio at Liverpool?

Really stupid claim because noone rated him especially high.
If anything, he was always, and is still underrated.
Good player, just not good enough to displace a fit Ribéry or Robben.
With the space the PL affords attackers, he'd be easily as impactful and effective as Hazard.

Why would he replace Cuadrado ? In fact he'd be playing alongside him.
Welcome to Juve, Douglas. About time you figured out Bundesliga is a fodder league who don't deserve top players like you.

Re: The Douglas Costa is a Beast and you couldn't see it Thread
Cuadrado will remain at Juve next season. It's a strange deal we have with Chelsea... a 3 year loan with option to buy if i remember correctly. I'd prefer Bernardeschi instead of Douglas Costa, who's never been seriously linked with the bianconeri. The brazilian is 26 so not even young anymore, and can't settle himself at Bayern.
According to his Whoscored profile he can't defend for shit so why would he establish himself as Juve's main LW in a 4-3-3, a formation we never use ?

Soo apparently this guy has a 30m buy out clause because Ancelotti didn't play him enough? Could see him move if that's the case

What rag did you get that ridiculous notion from
We don't do silly stuff like buyout clauses.

Coman and Douglas had great careers at Bayern, but Ribery and Robben are worthy successors, i recon they will do well moving forward

Agreed.
Is there any notion that he's suffered from false perceptions prior to arriving at Bayern? By that, I mean that he's never seemed a particularly "flashy" player to me. However, with his nationality and Shakthar's reputation for free-flowing, attacking football at the time of his signing, it's possible the expectation didn't align with the reality.
Some supporters may have thought Costa was going to be a flair player: that attacking midfielder who controls the game in the attacking third, embarrasses defenders with skill, Â and scores at will. Effectively, what I've just described were the roles played by Willian and Mkhitaryan during their time there. Costa always struck me as more of a modern, power-winger: a strong, fast, and direct player who, while technically gifted, was never overly elaborate in his play. Moreover, he was never free-scoring.
I'm of the opinion that he's a very talented player, but he's never struck me as a typical Brazillian AM. The comparison to Hazard in an earlier post actually rings pretty true. Other than goal production, their style is relatively similar. Personally, I'd be pretty happy with him coming to LFC and filling our LW slot, opposite Mane. I think his style and qualities would dovetail nicely with Firmino and Mane, not to mention fitting in seamlessly with Klopp's counter-pressing style.[/quote]

Not sure what happened to him at Bayern in his last year ? Was it an issue of wages ?
Playing like an absolute baller ffs. So good.

Coming from a guy who watches Rashford and Lingard occupy your wings week in week out

Costa had one of the most hyped 6 months stretch on GL history. Reminded me of David Silva when he joined City

Lingardinho was elite for 4 months this season, which is more than can be said of Costa. Put some respek on his name. You would love to have him at Juve.

He is a fast dribbler who is mostly effective by sequence. Alternates between the very good and the unnoticeable.
That being said i rate him this season, overall

Yeah because a team that loses to WBA at home is just stacked with players we'd want
No united player would start for Juve bar DDG.
Even Pogba looks like a downgrade to Khedira.

Please
Howedes is back now, he got a clean sheet and a goal in his come back
Valencia would be first off the bench if Licht wasn't feeling up to it though, i'd give him that.

Matic, Pogba, Bailly, hell even Herrera with that midfield. DDG, Valencia, Young (top 3 LB in the world this season, fits the profile Juve love) and Martial/Lingardinho/Sanchez/Mata on the right
so about 3/4 of our team
so about 3/4 of our team
