I thought Gomez had a great first game. stoke away is a very hard game. and they were targeting him so he had to do more work.

Yeah happy with both Clyne and Gomez. They even helped Skrtel and Lovren have a good game. I can almost guarantee you if that was John Glenson and Moreno as fullbacks we would have conceded that game.

It's nice having FB that can defend, just need to support them when they go through a rough patch, which they will.
