He went undrafted but then signed right after by the Nets on a 2 year deal. He was probably their 3rd PG but now that Deron is gone he has a chance to get some real minutes. One of my favorite college players.

Not having a good second game, 1-8, doesn't help that his teammates are terrible.
Still not as bad as McDermott though. He can't guard anybody, even in SL. And not making shots either.

Watching this Knicks/Lakers SL game
Ugly even by SL standards.
'Zingis 3-3. He's just a unique player to watch ; awkward shots that go in, driving from outside the 3pt line to a running bank shot.

Yep, Mudiay is cold. Great vision and he's got the first step to drive and kick all game long.
Still got outplayed by Napier tho the guy casuals have already written off after 60 something games.
Also Winslow hasn't barely played the last few games, I guess knee soreness. Something that he dealt with at Duke. Possibly a reason he fell.

It's so ugly. No idea what Mark Madsen is doing with that offense. Not helping anybody at all. Iso plays and useless screens. Thinking of killing myself

Really played well last year before getting hurt. Another player destroyed by Scott Brooks

Love this kid. Not only is he going to make the Nets but he should get decent minutes with Deron and Blake gone as well.
Didn't know he could pass like he's shown, pretty active on defense as well.

Wow, I thought Smart broke his wrist, dude screamin had me They're saying it's just two dislocated fingers, apparently there's a shot of his fingers snapped all the way back but I don't wanna see that.
also Vonleh looked really good which is why I think that trade might end up being more of a win for the Blazers in a couple years. Hornets should have tried to give them Zeller and a 2nd instead.

Are the Lakers going to regret Russell?
Mudiay and Okafor look just a little better than I thought for sure.

Not really. Okafor didn't look good against us at all. Tyler and Porzingis looked better anyways, and I don't know who that Tyler guy is. Russell was always seen as a prospect. His second half last game was so much better than last one and really looks to be improving. Half his turnovers have been due to chemistry and people not looking for the pass.
Don't regret not picking Okafor for one second. Randle looked great last game though, even hid some long midrange jumpers. He made that Bynum 3 heat check though.
Really not a fan of Tarik Black at all. Both him and Upshaw needs work on their fouls, so many stupid screens.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Mudiay was always considered better anyway, that only changed when Russell performed in the NCAA tournament and Mudiay was on the other side of the world.
Also Okafor was the consensus number one pick until Towns showed in the latter half of the year he actually has a post game.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Has anyone here actually seen our games? The problem really is that Mark Madsen doesn't have any system or play-calling abilities. He set up a 40 foot 3 for Randle who didn't even get it off last game. Also only runs Isos and screens without rolls. Awful to watch and impossible for anyone to succeed in. Will look better in the upcoming season.

It's SL. No one has a system, teams got to practice together for like 2 days. Pretty much everyone's on a level playing field in that regard.
That said bigs tend to look better than guards in SL imo, I wouldn't worry until it until the regular season.

Well we seem to have it worse. We didn't run a simple pick and roll in the first 3 games. I swear we had 1 play without passing every one of those games. We barely passed and had NO (almost literally) assists.
I'll wait to judge any players until regular season. Adam Morrison looked like prime MJ in SL.

I've been really impressed by KAT's passing in the post. LaVine and Wiggins slashing from the weak side channel would get plenty of easy baskets.

The refs f'ing us over in Summer League, hope it doesn't happen in the season.
5 minutes left, 14 FT for us, 36 for Utah. Not like they've been more aggressive

I shouldn't be this mad from a Summer League game, but holy shit... I've never in my life, in any sport, seen this kind of horrible officiating. We couldn't get a steal, a block, anything really, without a foul against us.
Fouls called:
on Utah: 12
on Lakers: 31
Free throws attempted:
Utah: 42
Lakers: 16

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Am I the only one who thinks Utah's young talent is being a bit overrated?
I've seen them mentioned with teams like Minny. Don't see it.
Gobert = legit. Perennial DPOY candidate
Hayward = legit. But not a #1, not even sure he's a #2 on a contender.
Exum = still up in the air, but likely not a franchise player imo. Napier, taken at 25, had better numbers across the board and in less minutes.
Favors = I swear this guy has been 22 for a decade.
Burks = dime a dozen SG
Hood = Like his game, will be better than Burks if he gets the mins
Burke =
Trey Lyles = looks good in SL fwtw
