We are pathetic in attack against organized defences, no guile whatsoever.

Oh wait, where have we heard that before.

That's natural though. They will keep on creating better chances if they counter due to our team in their half bar Mertesacker n Kos lol

Last three games at the Emirates: 51 shots, 0 goals. Not good enough, even in these circumstances.

I thought we rushed things too much in the final third. We sent a good four or five shots into row z and constantly tried to force it through the middle - a standard Arsenal approach in this situation. Whereas logic says to play with width and try get around the opposition's bus, Arsenal constantly try to force their way through the middle of it.

What frustrates me the most about it our players' unwillingness to attack the byline, particular the full-backs. How many times did Gibbs and Bellerin receive the ball wide, only to cut back inside and then pass sideways? Why not try taking on their man, getting to the byline and then cutting the ball back?

Similarly frustrating is the lack of numbers in the box whenever we work the ball into good crossing positions. Giroud is the number one target but spends most of his time on the edge of the penalty area when he should be attacking the box. Then you've got the midfielders always lurking outside the area. Nobody gambles.

It does seem like that Arsenal have relaxed a bit too much recently, as they've started to overplay more than they usually do. Understandable because CL is wrapped up and they only needed a point to get third because of their goal difference, but not something you want to see.

I was annoyed that Walcott didn't get a start. There was so much space down the sides in that first half. It would have been perfect for him. Even in the second half when Sunderland were really playing deep he found space in behind.

Wenger has a rotation problem. This isn't new, but nonetheless annoying (again) when, in a game against a relegation team, the likes of Gabriel, Chambers and Rosicky can't get a game, while Koscielny plays despite being ill recently, and Ozil and Alexis are overplayed, and Giroud hasn't scored in about a month yet Walcott still can't get a game. This after an open and intense game against United just three days ago.

So yeah, not a great night for anybody bar Sunderland, really.

Frustrating game. Credit to Sunderland for defending well, and could have easily scored few goals had it not been for their poor finishing in front our goal. We are too predictable, any team can come and get a result against us.

1 lucky goal in the last 4 games is embarrassing, not to mention 3 of them were home games.

Wenger on the draw…
Physically it was an intense game on Sunday from what we have analysed and we were a bit jaded tonight.
You could see that some players are a bit [tired].

on showing fatigue ahead of the cup final…
It is a little bit of a concern but there’s nearly two weeks to go.

on whether he will rest players on Sunday…
Honestly I don’t know yet. It’s possible.

Expect the same line and the same dumb excuse from on final day, WENGER.... rofl

Don't forget Sanchez. We all love him for what he has done this season but we can't lie to ourselves, his only way is cutting inside. Sooooo many times he could take the defender to the byline but doesn't.

One way to look at Walcott’s contributions is as almost the exact opposite of Sanchez or Ozil. Whereas those two players need a lot of the ball to make an impact, Walcott deals in tremendous economy of the ball. So, Walcott only had 21 touches in 28 minutes but he took three shots, got two on target. He also had the only big chance of the game for Arsenal.

He also went 10/11 passes, created a shot, and had 3/5 dribbles. All in the opposition final third. It looks like Walcott is slowly getting back to full speed.

Arsenal had 982 touches to Sunderland’s 445. Of those 982 touches Arsenal lost possession just 18 times and only had 80 misplaced passes. To give you some context, Barcelona beat Cordoba 8-0 on 2 May and they had just 902 touches that day.
