Juventus vs Real Madrid
The biggest dilemma of the year but not in a good way
Who the F will start next to Kroos?? After Ramos' shocker against Sevilla and Illarra's vs Almeria I have no confidence in either of them against a team whose midfield is their strength lol inbefore Khedira
Coentrao did not play yesterday which means he'll likely start against Juve and it kind of tells me how Carlo will approach the game. If Juve score we are doomed
All our players will need to step up from their previous performances if we are to win this. We usually do better in CL anyways so hopefully it was just a scare against Sevilla
Predicted line up
Lets do this. Unlike against Atleti we really need that away goal to be comfortable against them at home

Re: Juventus vs Real Madrid
Khedira. I really rather put Ramos back there. All the madness and errors and foolishness, Ramos would give and leave his all on the pitch for Madrid. Sami, as good as a player he is (for Germany at least), looks like a footballer who honestly doesn't care much for the club (which I can sort of understand but whatever).
Anyway, another do or die match...sigh

Khedira? Coentrao?
Carlo better not even try that rubbish.

I think Carlo would have put Coentrao instead of Arbeloa if the former were to play against Juve.

Re: Juventus vs Real Madrid
Khedira's career is over at Madrid after his Schalke performance as a clown.
Carlo will stick with Ramos I think. But I don't think it's a good idea against Juve. It worked against Atletico because their midfield is terrible and only good for thugging/battling, hence Ramos worked to combat that. Against Juve they will keep the ball and their technical quality is immense in midfield.
I would say start Illarra instead but I don't think anyone likes him at Madrid anymore?
Another option could be to start Isco-Kroos in mid with Bale and James out wide?

That's all well and good.............. if Juve are attempting to overwhelm us and keep us pinned.
They aren't gonna do that at all. They will be cautious right from the off.

Re: Juventus vs Real Madrid
I'm very disappointed with Morata. Dude has been holding a grudge ever since he left. Every time he lays hands on a mic, he takes a jab at us.
We need to be cautious because sometimes your rejects can do you harm (Morientes with Monaco, Robben with Bayern,...) Granted he's not as talented as these two but he couldn't be more fired up, ungrateful or hateful. We need to be cautious not just with him but with them all.

Re: Juventus vs Real Madrid
Yes Isco in the center will be an option especially with no Pogba as our midfield won't need to be that physically strong but is Carlo happy with a 433 against Juve with 6 extremely attacking players infront of our defence?? I doubt that. Just like last season when he started Khedira, Modric and Illarra in midfield he will be as conservative this time I think hence why I dont think Isco will play there.
Regarding Khedira, Carlo doesn't seem to have the same opinion as us imo. He is a definitely a vial threat imo
To the contrary Valk, the fact that Coentrao stayed on the bench the whole game tells me he might start but then again when was the last time he started a game against a big team this season when Marcelo was available? So we will see
Ramos in midfield needs to learn discipline. He is a red card waiting to happen and has no positioning sense, sometimes he helps out our peft side when defending and sometimes the right. It must confuse the hell out of Kroos
Illarra is a very good player but like with Benz you need to cuddle him for him to show confidence and do well. Do I trust him against Juve maybe not yet but he needs consistent minutes to work himself into form
Chicarito to score. You heard it from me first Buffoon isn't going to believe what hit him

Re: Juventus vs Real Madrid
illara is the shittiest player in our squad, everytime he touches the ball, something bad happens, even yesterday he put the ball back in play for valencia to score. so fuking clumsy.
even in his last match, he was gifting the ball every play which led to dangerous plays for the opposition.

Re: Juventus vs Real Madrid
Valencia?? You talking in future terms or something
And no Illarra does not "always" lose the ball. In fact he has been criticised for being too "safe" in the past

Re: Juventus vs Real Madrid
You know I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that Bale truly impressed me when he came on against Sevilla and played at number 9. I'd like to see more of that. Maybe he's just like Di Maria. Maybe all he needs is switch positions?

Re: Juventus vs Real Madrid
Maybe I'm wrong. But he really impressed me when he came on for Chicha and played as a CF.
Also I need to clarify something, I didn't mean he's as good as DM, I only meant he could improve a lot by playing as a CF.

Re: Juventus vs Real Madrid
Bale was impressive against Sevilla indeed but there was too much space for him to operate in when he came on.
A switch of positions is interesting. He basically plays as a roaming forward for Wales and thrives in it while he played as a SS for Spurs, with once again no defensive burden.
For Madrid he can't really play those roles. He has to change his style as he has done over the last 2 years. This is also why has struggled in some games because it's not his strength to play a match where Madrid have to grind it out and be defensive and resolute. He isn't a midfielder at all like Isco or James are.
Him playing as a CF next to Ronaldo can potentially work as it did against Barca in CDR once iirc. But will Carlo drop Chica after his form?

Re: Juventus vs Real Madrid
We might not see it happening though. Benzema is back in full training so he'll definitely start on Tuesday. Knowing Carlo, he'll go for BBC up front, Isco, Kroos and James in midfield, Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos and Marcelo at the back.
Too bad. I have always been a vicious critic of Bale, but against Sevilla he made my day. I really wanted to see him play there on Tuesday. Oh well

if benz is fit, isco goes to the bench imo. Carlo has to play all the galacticos in a match like this

Benz will not start after considerable time on the side lines and depending on how the match goes he might not even feature at all

This is Carlo we're talking about. He played Khedira in a CL final after god-knows-how-long on the sidelines.

Re: Juventus vs Real Madrid
illaramendi to start?
that ship has sailed. illaramendi will never start a crucial game for madrid.
every time he has played this season he has been terrible. i accept the thought that he may be a good player or turn out to be a good player. but i havent seen it, i havent seen 30 million euros worth of talent.
he is the same age as kroos at 25 years old and is light years behind him in all aspects of the game.
lucas silva, isco and casemiro are 22 and 23 years old, and for me, are way better than this guy.
imagine he actually cost 30 million. good business sociedad.
the only reason i think people on this forum support him is because he is spanish and he has an 'innocent' demeanour.
he reminds me of fernando gago. terrible player for madrid.
