Meanwhile Inter got Sneidjer for less than what we spent on Valencia. And Bayern got Robben for roughly what we spent total. From the same bloody club we sold Ronaldo to no less. It was poor business. You can't just limit that to overspending with massive fees. Overlooking glaring needs is just as bad if not worse than addressing them by overspending.

we were winning and kept winning....hindsight is 20/20 now who the better players and buys were

Robben the injury prone player he was in PL before and Sneijder Madrid Flop at the time...ya hindsight is wonderful now

I liked Bertolacci..2 years ago, right now i get the feeling he'll just be another Poli (Obviously would love to be wrong)

With the hype going on about this summer and the 300m warchest (its 100m but tomatoes, potatoes :coffee:

) it feels a bit underwhelming considering the names we've been linked to (Kondogbia, Brahimi, etc)

Scored 6 goals this year, , probably the whole amount of goals scored by Poli in his career Laughing

He is an improved player since Lecce period ( I liked him already in that year)
Bertolacci is not just a player good to run as Poli imo
of course it doesn't mean he is a top player but I feel he'd be a player good as Bonaventura in a top team

Also Robes truly is spot on with the Bonaventura comparison. Hardly a player who will take us to the scudetto on his back but better than what we currently have. Given that we're likely going to need to replace four midfielders in the summer I am content to see him arrive but obviously I want to see another, more substantial midfield purchase.
