Decent session

Won div 2, got back in to D1 and look to have done what we fail to do nowadays and avoid insta-relegation, 1 win and 2 draws, or 2 wins obv and we're golden.


Had to move from DM because jesus *bleep* WOW the reffereeing was getting ridiculous, was no point even going into challenges on pro's at some stage as everything was a *bleep* FK

I know me and Tom keep saying it but seriously pass into pass instead of always looking for the goal making pass.

We cut teams open when we actually pass into space instead of trying to slice 3 defenders open straight down the middle lol.

Yeah when we're running at their defence like 4v5 or some shit we always try to find some impossible angle in behind, and even if it comes off by the time a player controls the ball he's lost it anyway.

What looks like an impenetrable wall of defenders ain't shit if you do some 1 and 2 touch passes, EVEN if the first couple of passes aren't to a player who is in a goal scoring position

Hard to explain but I see this a lot especially when I play upfront in a number 10


Player A runs at the opposition midfield and back line, dribbles up a bit then attempts to find player B with a shitty through ball even though there's no space and no possible run to make, when let's say me as player C is standing away from both players, and if player A passes to Player C, then defenders will go to C and B will actually have space in behind to run through.

But plain old through balls against a good defence from the guy running up the pitch straight to the runner is really not effective in D1

It's why I always peel off to the left or right, it pulls the defence around as the CPU ain't smart enough to defend it.

yep and that's why MT always does so much better when i'm next to him dragging defenders and giving him space to do the runs he always does

When it's anything else he's just running the runs that work although they only work if you make space for them first hence going A to C to B not A straight to B when there's 5 defenders, 2 DMs and a CM close to their own goal.

Another thing is that often everyone is at the same place whenever we attack. Everyone gets attracted to the ball and ignores the space around. It ends up being both teams crowding around in the same area.

We need to stop conceding early on. Versacci is obviously our best ANY and 70% of the time FIFA is at fault for ridiculous passage of play ending in us conceding so that's definitely not the problem. But the problem is the fact we severely damage ourselves by conceding in the first 15-20 minutes. After that it's a pain getting a goal back because momentum is never with us, and teams can just hit us on the counter when we get desperate.

I'd say until the game settles down, everybody should hound the opposition so we don't have to run recovery missions every 2 games being 1 behind
