Agreed. He's made Bayern so much worse. Ripping the soul right out of the club. So strange that so few can see it.

Winning 4 of 6 titles last season, possible of a treble still if they can overturn the Porto game while missing 5-6 key players due to injuries, first manager to win 50 games in 61 games in Bundesliga history, but of course they're so much worse.

"50 in 61 games"
So what? It's about what he's done to improve them against top opposition. And he's done the exact opposite.

But how do you even know how he performs against top opposition if half his team is missing? Anyways if Pep leaves I'll be happy, Bayern are already scary enough without the best coach in the planet.

Also destroyed the best team in England, won the Bundesliga faster than anyone else in history, and played the best football on the planet until around April.
But yes, by all means, lets sack him because the 6 most important players in his squad are all injured.

Last season his only failure was against Real Madrid CL and Dortmund in the Super cup. The rest they dealt with perfectly fine while still trying to get his ideas out.
This season they've been hard done with major injuries. People forget the first half of the season they were blowing by everyone like nothing. Second half has taken a turn for the worst, but like anyone else Pep needs his player. Take Messi, Neymar and Pique out for us we'd be done. Modric and James picked up injuries Madrid struggled flipping Bayern are missing 5-6 players and everyone going ham on the guy does he deserve some blame yes I agree, but this Porto defeat majority of it was on his players who assist every Porto goal.

As if that's in any way comparable or relevant. Discussing Pep is mostly pointless anyway. Very few seem to bring an objective view to his achievements.

You're summing up his job at Munich over 2 games, so I was only summing up Van Gaal and Mou job in those games seems comparable and relevant enough to me as that is your objective view here.
Well very few share that though with you because many know what Pep is capable of.

It's a total non sequitur though. And again, it's not at all comparable. Pointless.

Then we can just agree to disagree on that. Totally comparably to me.

I guess Jupp would have done better right ? Anyways Pep was the best option to replace him, someone else would have been worse except Klopp. And btw Pep is not out of the CL yet, i'm sure Bayern will go through if they have all their players back. Not that I wish that tho

Jupp or even Lucien Favre. But I hope Bayern will keep their greedy hands away from Lulu!Bénin wrote:I guess Jupp would have done better right ? I never have understood this proclamation for any manager.I believe the best manager is really depends on the situation and fit for the organization/team. Jupp Heynkes was the best manager for Bayern. That CL wining Bayern side was one of the best i have ever witnessed. Bayern should have hired a manager who would have continued that formula and style, clearly Pep was never that guy.
I have never believed hiring a manager based on CV/accomplishment, the most uncreative thing you can do. It is better to hire a manager based on best fit.
For example what Barca did with hiring Pep best exemplify this. Pep was clearly not the most accomplished manager before he was hired but there wasn't anyone better for the job or could have done better.

Best football on the planet? They're objectively less flexible than they were before Pep came, how is what they play now better football than they did before?
And stop harping on about the injuries - I'm aware they were not at their 100%, but if you can't be arsed to win against Porto because your wingers are Götze and Müller, you're not trying. Mofos just won the World Cup.
