Bonaventura must play in midfield and not on the wings, he has too many qualities that he can't use when he is on the wings. He is also not that fast. Also, we need a midfielder that can fill the absence of De Jong whenever its necessary, Pedro Obiang is an example. Finally, we need a young striker that stays in the box and makes the best of chances; Petagna can be called back.

Most importantly, I hope that injuries and suspensions are reduced since the team needs to gel, and this is not happening at the moment as evident by the defensive mistakes that are occurring nearly every match. Montolivo must play as a DMF since he would be able to distribute the ball better.

Milan vs SaToLanta - Page 3 Empty Re: Milan vs SaToLanta

A team with a seasonal goal to be in the Champions League cannot afford to lose at home to any team who barely has any european ambitions . Worst about this , it is not the first time this 'kind' of defeat occurs. Such a wasted opportunity .

This doesn't have to do with missing players ; We should have enough to win Sassuolo at home , even with half a team and 3 subs of bench material we should be ok , even a scruby 1-0 would be ok . Saying we were missing this or that player is just an excuse , with absolutely no meaning. One or two players would make a difference in the overall display (perhaps..) , but not in the result. No team is guaranteed a win with just playing their best 11 . Good grief if we should need every single one of our best players to win Sassuolo at home. Forget about CL if this is the case .

It crossed my mind , too much relaxation in the Christmas holidays . Sassuolo probably spent their days way better than we did , having to play Milan away right after the break . No surprise they looked better than us . Also . For those of you who wonder , how could we lose to Sassuolo at home , having just won Real a few days back . Simple , Real wasn't even trying , they didn't even care to hide it and Ancelotti didn't even bother to make the result look better in the 2nd half , played youngsters and all , often checking his watch for the friendly to end and go smoke ..Milan took that match as important lmao.

I said it in the thread of that match , when you see Zaccardo and Niang roaming the right side for Pazzini to score alone , you know this friendly was a joke , no need to credit this match at all . The only positive was Ses and that's about it. It was entertaining for a friendly but a meaningless one nonetheless . Real would destroy the shit out of us if they really wanted to play like they can .

What worries me is that , antagonists lost points and we lost points. We didn't grab yet another opportunity to close the gap . If i've learned anything from past seasons when it comes to Milan and this kind of situation , is that we usually don't reach our seasonal goal at the end of the season whenever such opportunities are repeatedly wasted and they have been this season . Truth is , we should have a world class player to save the day in matches like this. We always had that at Milan , last prime example being Ibrahimovic. We sucked or not , Ibra would do something to win us that Cesena game we wouldn't win otherwise. Kaka before him , Sheva before him e.t.c . We lack that nowdays . Menez and Cerci and Ses and Honda and Montolivo and De Jong are all players of value , but noone of them are world class players. Especially Menez , even though i was particularly happy when we got him and i am mostly satisfied with him so far , he will never be the face of this team . He doesn't have it in him , he's not that kind of player and it showed wherever he was . I see Menez kind of like Borrielo v.2 , waiting to be placed aside for our next Ibra. Playing for a club like Milan and being decent is enough for him . The thing is , our next Ibra won't come any time soon .

Problems and what not , having that one player who used to salvage the 3 points in cases like this , or at least earn a draw with his individual effort made the difference . Inzaghi's Milan is bereft of such luxuries , there's not a single world class player in our team. Only Ses can reach that level and it won't be this season. Sometimes we will be losing because reasons , however i don't kid myself when it comes to our current quality . We don't have enough , by any means. It will be a miracle if we reach that 3rd place and Inzaghi knows it and he also said it , only to be criticised by our delusional Presidente. Being a good yes man as he is he took it back , however , the fact Pippo was honest is appreciated by me at least. It's not written in the stars we won't.. nevertheless , it will be a struggle and a victory if we accomplish it. Matches like this proves it , sadly .

De Jong kind of sucks as of now too. Almost cost us a goal at the 9th minute losing that header ,mainly because of his height .

And yes i agree , it seems it's all we can do not to concede that goal .

Yeap. sigh

Very lucky not to have conceded in the first half . Playing with 10 for another 45 , not sure what we can do.

MDS really needs to get his head screwed on right...

I've always said that the Maldini comparisons will do him no good (Nor any comparison as far as i'm concerned) MDS is MDS, not the next Maldini or Cafu or whoever. Sadly, the comparisons might've got to his head or something, because the MDS that i've seen in seasons past is definitely better than the one atm

Inzaghi needs to gtfo as well.. We have shown no improvements from previous seasons.. We can't even keep the ball for 5 seconds
Plus his team selections and substitutions are just so meh
We haven't had a single player coming off the bench to change the course of the game all season

I was a big fan of some of the things that Pippo did to this team, like Menez as a striker, but I'm done being behind him...team is playing like utter crap.

As about De Sciglio , we must consider the fact he just returned from injury , before we go any deeper. Let's also not forget who he has in front of him. Niang the teletubby gangster . No help , no chemistry , no real support from Niang. In front of MDS , his right side was a gaping hole for Torino to exploit . He was exposed . Having said that.

That's not to say that criticism on him wasn't accurate , because it is. He's below his usual standards for a while now.

Anyway , the fact we barely can hold the ball for more than 4 passes is particularly worrying . We scored the peno and we simply dissapeared , only tiny glimpses of would have been here and there . Very worrying , never mention having to play 45m with 10 ,

It really is all we can do not to concede , twice as much now than what it was in the first half. lol

I am still pissed with Muntari btw. No Milan player should act like that , especially pos like him
