Very good half by Arsenal, made in part by Monaco's rather nonchalant sort of playing. I guess that goes with having such a formidable lead.

Only player I found to be lacking a bit (and just a bit, he actually is performing decent still) is Sanchez. Even his psuedo dive was a bit hilarious. Wasn't actually a dive but it wasn't a foul either.

Coming into this game I expected to lose. But Arsenal always give me false hope just to let me down. Dammit.

Any Arsenal fan 'proud' of that performance should get a reality check.

The reality is, you bottled it against the easiest last 16 opponent you've had in years.

Monaco showed tonight just how poor they are (I know, I know that that was largely due to the fact Ars decided to turn up) but that 1st leg Arsenal criminally underestimated them and turns out that last min goal you conceded in the 1st leg was the penultimate kick in the nuts that got you eliminated.

Back to qualifying for the CL. Get drawn in an easy group. Finish as runner up. Get Barca/Bayern/ Real. get eliminated.
