Would be great if you explain your odd choices but it's not necessary.

I would put Filipe instead of Alaba but he isn't on the list. About Carvajal, Lahm didn't play RB last year and Kroos and Modric were better in centre-midfield. The front line is a given, Godin was the best CB last season and Hummels had a great WC. Ramos would be the only contender but he didn't play well at the WC and Godin had a better 2013-14 campaign. I wasn't decided about who should be the RM between Koke and Robben, but I feel the Spaniard deserves it since Atletico played the UCL final and won La Liga. I also feel that Robben is better as a RW.

Goalkeepers: Manuel Neuer (Bayern),

Defenders: Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Diego Godin (Atletico Madrid), Miranda (Atletico Madrid), Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich)

Midfielders: Toni Kroos (Real Madrid), Angel di Maria (Manchester United), Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich)

Attackers: Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Karim Benzema (Real Madrid), Neymar (Barcelona).

My Team -

Benatia(Best CB in Italian League)
Godin(Was Fantastic with Ahtletico)
Ramos(For Getting key goals despite not at his defensive best)

Wingbacks -
Lahm & Alaba - In an inverted Overlapping role forming part of a Mid-field 3 similar to Bayern.

CM Trio - Di Maria for Real and Matic as DM for Chelsea, and Modric for Real.

Forward Line - Suarez for Liverpool for his brilliant performances.

Robben also for being the best player in the world.

Neuer for being a revolutionary GK

where is de gea ? I am assuming the nomination is based on  goals conceded and clean sheets and nothing else. Is that so ? Should have also put a third category No. of saves in it. DDG would have presented a strong point in that case.

Self explanatory I guess except for may be Buffon, reason well I like him a lot. Legend and Worldclass through and through. Not sure of his form right now. And dont want to put anyone else if there aint Big Dave among the choices.

Hmm according to squawka (reliable ? ), saves per game of the 3 contemporaries are

de gea - 2.25
Neuer - 1.83
Courtois - 1.58

2014 there's no way Hummels should be in the team.

Not bad! But then I'd add Yann Sommer who (according to bundesliga.com) made 52 saves in 12 BL matches with 85.25% save percentage.

Only thing that would be weird I think is Yaya Toure because of how poor he's been this season but I still picked him as quite frankly he was outstanding enough last season to get away with his poor start and still merit a spot.
