Gotta admire their discipline however I was less than impressed by their overall level.

That and the fact that refereeing decisions are the main reason they were even in the final and in the final the refs were saving them on multiple occasions.

Blame the ref all you want, not saying they should of not had some peno's but when your missing sitters for fun right in front of goal you don't deserve shit.

End of the day, we did the job at home and Covic beasted it in goals.

We deserved the trophy, our last 5 games of 2 finals matches, 2 semis and a quarter were all clean sheets. All done with one of the smallest budgets of the comps, opposition fans using every dirty tactic in the book against us.

You want to know the funny thing, we didn't even have our best team hahahahahahaha.

The whole finals campaign was our PRE-SEASON hahahahaha

Al-Hilal Club's Board of Directors demand the President and members of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to open a formal investigation through all the official and legal channels with all the relevant authorities in the Confederation ; who are responsible for appointing the referees of the two legs of Asian Champions League 2014 final , which were played between Al-Hilal of (KSA) against (Western Sydney) of (Australia) , and officiated by Iranian referees led by (Alireza Faghani) in the first leg in Sydney , as the Japanese (Yuichi Nishimura) officiated the second leg in Riyadh , which included a number of mistakes from the referees that affcted Al-Hilal team and wasted the players' rights in getting six penalties , including two explicit penalties in the first leg ; and four in the second leg , that most analysts and specialists of refereeing in most countries observed that ; including the Australian TV Channel , that observed with great surprise to (Nishimura) attitude in ignoring the penalties referred to . Al-Hilal's management stressed that (AFC) President "Sheikh Salman Al Khalifa" should bear the responsibility and stop the blunders that were witnessed in the two matches ; that appeared suspiciously and tarnished the reputation of the AFC , which raised many questions about the AFC Championships and the integrity and fairness of its competitions , and the need to ensure the absence of any effect of betting offices scattered among football ; by assigning the competent authority in the Asian Confederation to start investigating seriously . Also it is surprising to appoint a referee for the second leg who was deported from refereeing in the last World Cup as a result of his mistakes during the tournament as well the end of his refereeing career at the end of this game , which proves that appointing him as a referee for the match is a big mistake that requires investigation and causes punishment . What happened in the second leg of the AFC Champions League final is a black spot in the history of Asian football , and looting of the right of an entire people who has been waiting for happiness and enjoyment of fair competition , which requires dealing seriously with this matter , and punishing who caused that ; whatever their positions in AFC , in order to be in good hands and fair competition . At the end , we and those who are seeking justice are waiting for AFC attitude about what happened ; that must deal with these blunders to restore its confidence , in order to have a great status for the Asian football under the presidency and wise leadership of "Sheikh Salman Al Khalifa" .

To be honest, that ref was appalling, but it's not the first time he's screwed up a big game - he was similarly useless at the World Cup - and nothing will be done. The ref isn't corrupt, merely incompetent.
