Didn't get a chance to watch the game, but can't help noticing that Messi's goal came from him running into space, which is only surprising because he rarely does it any more.

Pleasing performance, Europe home vs away is like night and day for us. So much better.

Pique is such a fool, I dunno what else to say. Again, he could of avoided his errors by simply using his brain. The physical talent and skills he has (played an amazing long pass to Neymar earlier in the game) are wasted inside that head of his.

Every minute before we scored our goal we were doing way too many long passes and not enough intricate passing combinations through the middle. The first time we did one, we scored.

How surprising.

Thoughts on Messi being subbed off? Switched from the Bayern game to this one briefly and was surprised to see him coming off, don't think I've ever seen that when he wasn't injured.

might be precaution he got hit in the knee in the first half, i think its good to rest him.

Yeah most probably a precaution. I also think it probably has to do with the whole media stuff about Messi/Enrique subbing thing that went on over the weekend. Where Messi was telling Enrique what to do type of thing.

Need to watch the game later...saw a lot of bashing to Pique (becoming regular like Pedro) in other sites though read in a report that he cleared around 6 aerial balls....
anyway, a lot of confusion remains about who will be playing in CB and DM positions in classico. other positions looks settled after the Ajax game

I think Suarez has to start. I mean out of using Suarez or Pedro.....I mean it's not even debatable. In the event one of Suarez/Pedro/Neymar needs to come off then Munir should come on. Pedro needs to gtfo.

As much as I am over Pique's dumb ass, I still don't think we can afford to sell him anymore with the transfer ban. We have injury prone Verm, old man Mathieu, and inconsistent Bartra. Then Le and Bagnak are probably going to be too green next year. So selling Pique wouldn't really make allot of sense. We need to light a fire under his ass because he still has the odd great match. They are just becoming far too distant from each other nowadays which is not good.

Pedro on the other hand, we have plenty of options to replace him. Even with the transfer ban. At this point his days should be numbered.

Oh we can't sell him now, but the second that ban lifts and he's still the same should be shown the door.

isn't it like everytime he is under pressure with ball in his feet and facing our goal, he seems completely clueless as what to do with the ball... so this a couple of times...and also his backpass to Ajax player what would be a great assist indeed

to me it seems his usual move when pressured is to just fall on the ground and hope for a whistle
actually good on him he stayed on his feet and 'chased' the guy he handed the ball in his own box

Learnt that off Puyol, but he hasnt mastered it as yet. Puyol knew perfectly when to hoof it and when to draw the foul.
