I got off though. He claimed I was going 51 (in a 25 zone...), even though I'd swear the most I was doing was 42. When he came back with the ticket he said he'd only written me up as having gone 38, which makes it a $95 fine, and if he'd written me up as going the 51, it would have been $240 and a mandatory court appearance. So I was done a huge favour.
