Why would you be condoning a draw the week before a game against a side who've been cack all season? Is it that you think they've been better than everyone else seems to, or do you suggest we should fear them just because of their name?

I said we can afford it,

I honestly think we'll win as long as Matic stops ADM.

'We can afford it' = a draw is okay

Settling for that kind of mediocrity is what got us a lucky point there last year while all of our rivals battered them with ease.

No, we can afford it = it's not the end of the world if we don't win as we'll still be top regardless

You keep talking about us being top or staying top or dropping points being okay as long as we're still top after it like it means something. We're 8 games in. It means dick all.

Reality is, we need to pick up all the points we can get and these three on Sunday will be ripe for the picking. Not going to make out at all that this is going to be some easy game we'll win blindfolded, but with the quality we have, and the state that they're in, we should be going for it. You can be assured all of our rivals will be.

That you think a point is okay merely cause we'll 'still be top' after it regardless is short-term lunacy.

Our main rivals drop points the day before we play a tough, but winnable, away fixture; this is EXACTLY where we lost the title last season

Precisely. Failure to take advantage of our rivals dropping points was a specialty of the side last season and ones before it. Need to do the business tomorrow as an 8 point lead would be immense.

No side in a title race can ever "afford" a loss.

I disagree, If you're 4 points ahead on the last day of the season, you can :coffee:

When it's mathematically impossible for a loss to hurt you, then yes, obviously that goes without saying. But that's only the case towards the very end of the season.
