Jokes aside, I have to agree. As nice as a Cavani or Falcao would be, I just can't see both Costa and one of them at the same club.

A Destro would be wonderful.

I thought I would put this out there:

Assuming Torres is on 150k PW wages and we can sign someone to replace him on 70-80k PW wages.

Why don't we offer to pay some of Torres's wages at Milan? Say 50k PW.

So Torres goes to Milan and we pay 50k PW instead of 150k PW for him.

Then bring in Destro (for example) on 70-80k PW (which is pretty high for someone of his age) on perhaps 25m deal.

Since we're in the green in terms of transfers, 25m would be well within FFP rules. Destro's wages + what we're paying for Torres WOULD be less than keeping Torres by 20-30k PW, not much, but hey, it's something.

I wouldn't be against it, epecially if Destro could get some goals.

as if there's any chance he'd be playing there on loan without us paying some of the useless twunt's wages. Not even Milan are that stupid.

But yes, it would almost certainly cost less for us to pay part of his wages there AND the full wages of his replacement here than to just keep him here. Not to mention the obvious upgrade in quality.

I rekon they would, even a blind person can see the gaping holes in their squad, and having spent $3bn on Di Maria they're going to have to raise funds somehow, and the only position they can afford to sell someone in is their forwwards, they have Shrek, RvP, Hernandez and Wellbeck
