Re: Marcos Llorente - Future star
I think we have produced good kids recently like Grsnero or Parejo but it does feel like Llorente is of a different ink, specially looking at how quickly he performed coming out of castilla

Re: Marcos Llorente - Future star
Parejo became a good midfielder and Granero is, by and large, decent but I never saw them as the legit talent that you would be like "yeah, he is gonna be a big one". Now, Llorente could very well be a dud and a half but from what I have seen, he looks legit.

Like Carvajal
Re: Marcos Llorente - Future star
Didn't Carlo Ancelotti had high expectations for Marcos Llorente when he was here?
I hope he has a positive impact as Casemiro's understudy.

Re: Marcos Llorente - Future star
2 back to back impressive against tough opposition (Roma, Valencia) while his defense is not as great as Casemiro he is definitely more techincally gifted and better passer.
Question is whether or not he is satisfied with his current position (very doubtful) with being a backup, but he could become a better option to Casemiro down the road.
With new midfielders like Llorente, Ceballos and Valverde impressing every game, what should we do with the midfield to keep everyone satisfied?

Re: Marcos Llorente - Future star
Personally, Llorente should still move. He clearly is a talented DM and another team would greatly benefit from his talents. As for Ceballos and Valverde, I really have no idea how things would turn out for them especially if we keep Kovacic. We've been saying this since 2015 but I think this summer, the club is gonna have to make some serious decisions on players and their future. And vice versa.

Re: Marcos Llorente - Future star
I think Llorente woild be ok with staying if he wasnt the 25th choice in midfield like he hss been for the past 2 seaaons. If he gets rotated properly i think he should definitively consider stsying. Eibar was the catalyst that brought him to the front just like the Claaico was with Casemiro in ZZs first season
I also agree with Doc, this summer we are going to have some tough choices to make in terms of the squad. I think Reguillon has has shown that we can start phasing out Marcelo without losing much quality. In midfield we have ebough quality to fill 3 WC teams. Kovacic can stay where he is for sll I care. Ceballos is a better footballer than him. It's also time to let Modric join the Croatia contingent ar Inter.
As for the attack. It's time for Bale to leave. I wouldn't mind a complete overhaul

Zidane basically told Llorente to leave to go get more play time

He's going to Atletico apparently. We should ask for Rodri in return

Re: Marcos Llorente - Future star
Atlético are interested and met his agents =/= he is going to Atletico.
Rodrigo however has a strong offers from City that he is expected to accept. 60 mil for him is great value, he is a good player with the skillset Guardiola is looking for.

Re: Marcos Llorente - Future star
I mean, we should be interested in Rodrigo but we have other midfielders in mind. Small mercies...
