again I couldn't give two fcks what the record is. A player is priced whwt he is worth to the club. We sold Ozil for 50 last season because that's how much he was worth to us. We sold Higgy for 40 again he was worth thay much to us. About time we stop getting lowballed by other clubs for our best plsyers. I mean last season English media thought they could get ronaldo for 70-80 M Laughing

the same guy who can't stop breaking records for us, to us Ronaldo is worth 200 M and I am sure that's whst Perez would quote if anyone made an enquiry

Madrid economics. As i mentioned, you can't expect the market to follow your own insanity... there's no demand for 60+ mil wingers by anyone other than Madrid or Barca. Since these two clubs rarely do business with each other, you need to work within the overall marketplace.

For other clubs, yes that is the case. But we're talking about PSG who bought an inconsistent kid for nearly 40M in Pastore, a super unproven kid for similar amounts I.E Lucas and David Luiz for 40M.

So a proven Madrid star is going to cost more.

They can refuse to pay, which is what they're doing. In the end, nobody is going to pay more than 60 mil for Di Maria. No reason for PSG to bid against themselves, which is what was happening. So they stopped at their final offer of 60 mil. If Madrid can get more, great.... go for it. If not, 60 mil is all PSG are willing to pay.

In the past 3 seasons, they were making their mark with no brand value... which is why they grossly overpaid for players to come (otherwise the players wouldn't choose PSG). When you consider that Mangala is being bought for 40 mil, 49,5 mil for Luiz is not that far off. It was considered a position of maximum need (with RB) since that is where they lost CL... lack of quality at CB and RB. Not the case with winger. PSG are not desperate.

There no "must" about anything. Di Maria has asked for a raise and Madrid have refused... now Madrid is going to sell to the highest bidder that Di Maria approves of. PSG have made a max offer of 60 mil. In the end, if that's the highest offer and PSG haven't retracted it by the time it's deemed the highest, then it will be accepted. If someone else wants to pay more, more power to them... i highly doubt that happens however.

it's a matter of respect imo. you can't pay 50 for Luiz and 60 for Di Maria for God's sake

60 millions for di maria is a lot of money, not sure why perez overreached, asking for 80 mil. bold move, but it aint gonna work this time. if they still want to sell, they wont get a better offer than that. Monaco wont offer that kind of money, same as united who are acting like like moppets on the market.

Don't see why people are saying Di Maria wouldn't fit a 3-5-2. He has the workrate to play the entire wing, pretty much had to be a LB whenever he played alongside Marcelo. Got plenty of practice there. And we're talking of a LVG 3-5-2, not a Conte 5-3-2.

they did coincide with Madrid making personnel decisions that made them redundant. Namely, keeping Di Maria and getting Bale (Ozil)... keeping Jese and Morata (Higuain)... buying Navas and deciding to give Iker first shot at starting (Lopez). And now we have the purchase of Kroos and James (Di Maria). Since we haven't bought De Sciglio or any other fullback, the rumor of Marcelo being sold means nothing, just to give an opposite example.

If there wasn't a whole lot of logic and precendent, i'd agree with you...

Despite the PSG president saying he doesn't want Di Maria, they still do, according to ABC. The problem is they're unable to sell one of their big players currently.

Yes it really does seem that far off when you dont make up some bollox to support a point or and this would be scary given your role as "super accountant" or whatever it is that you dont know the difference between euros and sterling which might be a tad frightening for the people who pay for your erm skills.
