fully develop yes europe is needed,but of course players can develop well in our league.For example,if Hernanes went to Europe when he was 21 he would probably have failed because he wasnt half the player he is today.now look at him,turned a relegation team into one of the top 4 almost by himself in his first season

a more rational explanation would help this logic,other than "SA defenses suck" cliche....

our managers are fine,dont let the NT idiots fool you,the only reason they are there is because they are not good enough for clubs and would get fired in 2 months...

but there really isnt a way to prove this type of stuff.Point is our youngsters can develop and mature a lot here.He can go to europe and develop the european aspects of the game once he learns everything from SA.He has only played 2 season in the brasileirao and 1 season with the NT,he has not "dominated" the league yet as nick says,he didnt even win the brasileriao trophy yet...

El Santos anunció en la tarde del miércoles la renovación de Neymar, uno de sus jugadores estrella, gracias a la firma de un nuevo contrato que vincula al atacante con el club brasileño hasta 2014. Así lo ha hecho público Luis Alvaro de Oliveira, presidente del Santos, asegurando que "el contrato está firmado". Esta renovación no era más que parte del acuerdo con el Real Madrid, pero el presidente del Santos ha anunciado que lo rompe unilateralmente.

Tal y como adelantó El Confidencial, el fichaje de Neymar por el Real Madrid ya se ha cerrado en una cantidad cercana a los 56 millones de euros. Sin embargo, las elecciones a la presidencia del Santos del próximo mes de diciembre han provocado que ambas partes pactaran la renovación del jugador por el club brasileño con la intención de que Oliveira puede volver a ser reelegido como máximo dirigente del conjunto albinegro.

Según ha podido saber El Confidencial, la renovación de Neymar por el Santos hasta 2014 -con un contrato que también aumenta sus emolumentos- formaba parte de la estrategia marcada tras el acuerdo total entre el Real Madrid y el Santos para incorporar a Neymar al conjunto blanco después de los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres de 2012. Por ello, los 56 millones que pagó el Madrid por el jugador superan los 45 'kilos' que marcan su cláusula.

Sin embargo, el presidente del Santos ha decidido llamar a Florentino Pérez para anunciarle que rompía de manera unilateral el acuerdo firmado con el equipo blanco. Oliveira lo ha justificado explicando que ya ha conseguido los 60 millones que reclamaba al Madrid para hacerse con los servicios del jugador. Por si fuera poco, también ha llamado a Sandro Rosell, presidente azulgrana, para agradecerle su interés por el jugador.

El propio Pelé ha reconocido este miércoles el potencial del jugador brasileño, que está llamado a convertirse en uno de los grandes jugadores de los próximos años: "Neymar está comenzando, no hay en América Latina un jugador del mismo nivel que él, pero en la elección del Balón de Oro lo que puede pesar es la experiencia. Sin embargo, Neymar ha sido más decisivo para el Santos que Messi para el Barça"

Neymar ya ha pasado el reconocimiento médico con el Real Madrid, y percibiría algo más de seis millones por temporada en el conjunto del Santiago Bernabéu. A pesar de que la renovación del jugador con el Santos era un nuevo paso en la estrategia de ambos clubes, el presidente del Santos ha decidido romper el acuerdo de manera unilateral. Ahora, el futuro de Neymar está en el aire, y su continuidad en el club brasileño está más cerca que nunca.

@Sportsczy, dont you think given the direction we are moving in, with all players getting involved in the play, defending and attacking, it's a better idea to sign Javi Martinez as opposed to M'vila? I know you have a hard on for the kid but think about it

For Ozil and Kaka to work well in mou's system, especially Ozil, M'Villa is better. Let Ozil concentrate on what he knows... he's struggling big time with learning defense, etc. If we had CR7 and Ozil play decent defense and still perform just as well on offense, i'd agree with you.

Our problem is not on offensive end when we get to the final 1/3... it's recovering the ball and transitioning it there. We don't need extra people to attack imo.

well, they are learning, only 3 months in the season. And long term, i think it's important for all of them to know to defend and attack. That's why i am a bit against a defense specialist. Javi can do the recovery and transitioning just fine.

on only 1/2 the field. He can't cover sideline to sideline. Khedira covers the other side. Besides, imagine if Xabi could move further up and concentrate more on feeding the attack as opposed to sticking so close to the left defense. I'd love to see the Xabi of Liverpool again.

In the future, i'd love M'Villa to sit in front of our defense and have Sahin in a more aggressive position. It would also allow the AM (Ozil) to be more aggressive too.

Yes, it is a fact Im afraid, nowadays to prove yourself among the best, you must be in Europe. I mentioned Pele because of what some people think, and its a common opinion, that Pele is not the greatest because he never 'proved himself' in Europe. I personally think Pele killed it completely in Brazil, but that doubt always remains.

Apart from old matches of Pele & co. , I can only comment on those yes because I'm young so dont expect me to be knowledgeble on other 'Brazil legends'.

Thats very debatable. Again, I dont want to get involved in a discussion about those times as I dont really know much about them. It is not my opinion that Pele needed to move to Europe, but it is a common one and one of the main (THE main really) factors he is not considered the best by many people. Now, the situation is much worse for South America and everywhere else as Europe is just a level above. Point is, now, in two years time, at the age of 25 or whenever, Neymar NEEDS to go to Europe to fulfill his full potential.

The South American leagues were definitely of equal quality to Europe back then IMO.

Even up to the 80's when you had Flamengo destroying one of Liverpool's best ever sides 3-0.

our leagues only got weaker in the 90s when Europe started buying loads of south americans.Just imagine if all of the south american players who are in Europe atm still played for their SA clubs,these teams would def be better than most European clubs.

My team for example would have Pato,Nilmar,Alex,Lucio,Damiao,dalessandro and a few others atm.

When the max of 3 foreign players rule was abolished in Europe, South America and Africa were raided, not only in their professional teams, but also the youth. That's when the power shifted for good.

Prior to the mid 80s, the best league was in Brazil. From approx 1985 to the early 90s, it was equal. And now, it's clearly Europe by a large margin.

well,i wouldnt say by a large margin,just watch the CWC for the past 10 years,european teams have never destroyed SA clubs and brasileirao teams have won it 3 times since 2000.

Sao Paulo won vs Liverpool in 2005 and Internacional won vs Barca in 2006.The other matches were really tough for the Euro clubs,specially in 2009 when estudiantes gave barca hell.

i know its just 1 match,but its the only legit competition we face each other.
