Re: OT: Nerman has deceived us
Yeah... but i'm thinking Di Maria will want to leave if Neymar comes and Kaka is gone. Hazard and Neymar in place of Di Maria and Kaka sounds about right.

Re: OT: Nerman has deceived us
I dont think Di Maria would want to go, unless he is buried on the bench and he is not playing. Hazard is great, if he was playing deeper and had a superior work rate, could play a lot deeper and was more of a playmaker, i would be all over him. But as of now, it's not a good choice. If we had to choose between both, i think we picked Neymar.

With Neymar here, Di maria is buried. And he's not 20-21 anymore... can't afford to spend his prime years benched. This is just me guessing. Did he get his raise btw?

Re: OT: Nerman has deceived us
Not yet, the club wasnt pleased with the way he took that issue to the medias. it will be sorted in time.
we will see how it pans out, but ultimately, it's not a good idea i think, if Neymar is in the cards already. Improving the quality of the attackers do us no good imo, why not give the same attention to the deeper mid? Sahin/Khedira/Alonso are great, but we need a 4th as far as im concerned. Why not give more attention to that area and discuss how we can poach a great CM to improve the depth? we focus too much on the attack no?

Re: OT: Nerman has deceived us
I don't know why any Madrid fan will want Di Maria out of the team, he has exceeded expectations so far and is a much safer bet than Neymar. I find it hard to see how Neymar will fit into this current team, his progression in the team could be like Benzema's, struggling in his first season in Europe and losing his confidence.
The best move for the boy would have been to a team like Villareal, where he could have developed with less pressure, but I guess the chances of that happening is next to nothing.
I'm not particularly enthused by this transfer saga, it couldn't end soon enough, let's hope he doesn't end up as another Robinho.

Re: OT: Nerman has deceived us
Of course if Coentrao as a mid and Granero don't evolve, we'll need to get 2 mids. That's the big gamble this year... counting on these two. Sahin is already hurt. Khedira has had a few knocks. We've been lucky with Xabi as he's been an ironman.
Coentrao is learning on the fly and Granero has not impressed me.

I agree and i actually like Hazard better than Neymar... and Hazard would be willing to compete. He's not at all a diva.

But here is the thing, We spoil ourselves with the best talents in the world in Neymar, Hazard, and whoever mercurial youngster you can think of.
But when it comes to the midfield, we put our faith on Coentrao and Granero? that's messed up imo.

Isnt Hazard currently excluded from the Belgium group for precisely being a Diva?

If you knew how Lille is run, you'd know he'd been sold at the first opportunity if that was the case. I saw him last year split his head open, bandage it up and come back in to fight it out.
I think there's a personality conflict going on in Belgium with the manager. We've had so much of that with the French NT that i automatically go hmmm when something like this happens.

Re: OT: Nerman has deceived us
my point is simply that, when we talk about both, it's not a matter of yin and yang, with one being a saint and the other being an ass.
I have seen Hazard sulking in games as well, not exactly working hard to come down and defend, not saying he doesnt defend, but he isnt all great compared to Neymar. Mind you, i have seen Neymar doing some heavy defending myself.
Both are great, both have their faults, both have young. They will mature in time, even if Neymar will require more discipline

The one thing to keep in mind though Nick is the huge amount of pressure on Neymar compared to Hazard. How do you think his Brazilian fans or his entourage will react if he's either benched or criticized in public by Mou? There's a whole different set of baggage with him. I completely understand that he's a lot more marketable. But there is clear downside there. On the other hand, Hazard is Belgian... and who cares if a lot of Belgian people get outraged (no offense lol). They can't get a government together... that country has bigger problems than Hazard.

Re: OT: Nerman has deceived us
The pressure factor is going to be unbelievable i know. But it's a situation that we can handle. High risk, very high reward type of situation, and from the club perspective, we can deal with it. If Neymar is meant to be great, he will overcome it.

Re: OT: Nerman has deceived us
from a blog
#Neymar has a 45M€ contract release clause under Santos
#Real Madrid has been following the youngster for months & planned to sign him originally for season 2012 - 2013, but FC Barcelona started "smelling around" because President Rosell ( great expert of Brazilian Football) "loves" the player, but Coach Guardiola does´nt due to the youngsters "extroverted" personality. Rosell believes Guardiola will leave at the end of this upcoming season & thus wished Neymar for season 2012 - 2013.
# Real Madrid finds out about the Barça moves & speeds up the operation of signing Neymar via ex-Real Madrid player , now part rep of Neymar, Ronaldo & gets the player interested
# Santos President Ribiero moths backs gives permission to ALL CLUBS to negotiate with Neymar - in there was Chelsea FC as well, amongst others...
Real Madrid manages to get the signature of Neymar on an agreement ( pre-contract) that stipulates 6 seasons with the Spanish Club.
#Now here is the "NEW PIECE OF NEWS". Apparently in that pre-contract , Real Madrid put in a "anti-break" clause ( Figo type when he signed for Real Madrid from Barcelona years back) that states that if Neymar backs down on his agreement or goes to another club the player would be penalized with whooping 100M€ compensation payment.
#Obviously this - if true & it seems so according to Sports media here - guarantees that Neymar will arrive here to Spain. In fact , FC Barcelona President Rosell made a last attempt at the "Copa America" but backed off immediately when he was told (or saw) the agreement & the penalty clause. So what is the problem?
#Santos celebrates Presidential elections in December & current President Ribiero wishes to be elected again. Ribiero cannot be seen to let go his star player & see Neymar miss the December "Clubs World Championship" in Tokyo & risk the fan-backlash & possibly not be voted President again. It has been commented that Ribiero called Real Madrid President Florentino Perez to "beg" that the player not be called up NOW but allowed to stay till December, It looks like Real Madrid may allow Neymar to stay & retain the good relations with Santos & take off the enormous local pressure that the young 19 year old Neymar is living at the moment. What will finally occur? I don´t know if Neymar will finally come NOW or in January 2012, but everyone here assures that he is in all effects a Real Madrid player with a massive 100M€ penalization clause that has it all sealed , signed & nearly delivered.

then again
Neymar: "I have nothing signed with Real Madrid"
Neymar da Silva Santos Junior has denied that he has signed a contract with Real Madrid as discussed in the last hours, because there is "nothing" with the white club. At the same time the president of the Santos has stressed that they want the striker follow on the Brazilian team.
Is the answer that emerged after the strong rumors and reports in Italy, which informed about the transfer of the Brazilian player to Real Madrid for 45 million euros with a five-years contract. "We have nothing. Now, nothing separates me from Santos", said Neymar on his arrival in Montevideo, where along with the rest of his teammates, will play the first match of the Libertadores Cup Final against Peñarol. "The dream of all Brazilian players and mine, is to play abroad. I would like to play in Europe but I have a contract with Santos and intend to play here a long time. I have nothing with Real Madrid, now I think only on Santos and the Libertadores final", said Neymar.
The player, aged 19, spoke these words after his team's recognition of the field, Centenario Stadium, where today Peñarol and Santos will play the first leg of the Libertadores Cup Final: "I'm very happy for this moment of Santos and mine too. In addition, for the love that people show me everywhere".
Moreover, the president of Santos, Luis Alvaro Ribeiro de Oliveira, stressed that the young striker is not for sale, and that the offer from Real Madrid "not exist", while he notes that his desire is that player follow with them: "The proposal does not exist, and if it came, was sent back. These rumors always appear before important playoffs. We are talking with new sponsors and we will make as necessary proposals so that Neymar continues with us", he said.

thx
of course he will never admit to it. Frnakly, the people that came out with that information first have been reliable information wise for madrid all year. So im inclined to listen to them.
Santos or Neymar can never admit to such thing anyway. Ultimately, he stays in Brazil for the year and next summer he will be ready to go.
