Re: Alexis on the move let's see where he lands
I have to confess that I'm not really his biggest fan.
I like him and he's great and all, but somehow I find him HIGHLY frustrating.

He was extremely frustrated with the whole team tonight, wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't extend unfortunately.

Bayern or PSG imo but Bayern has its attackers sorted.
But he should obviously stay at Arsenal.

At his age,so did messi. Btw what's the point of collecting top talent if ur going to face Zorya's of Europe. The poor feck would be riding bench for Ashley Young or someone

Re: Alexis on the move let's see where he lands
Why not.
Not exactly a huge Alexis fan, but better than NO backup striker and subbing on Douglas Costa for either of Robbéry I guess.
Let's sell Costa to Liverpool for 55m €, Coman to Man City for 60m €, Boateng to City for 85m €, then buy Alexis for 30m€, Brandt for 15m€, and Mbappe for the bargain price of 135m €.
Means we still got 20m€ to spare on some random right back from Napoli or Atalante.

Re: Alexis on the move let's see where he lands
Alexis-Lewa partnership would be incredible.
That front trio with Robben added. Damn
Bayern need an injection of quality anyways. It's been very apparent the last few seasons in CL.
Muller What the hell happened to him?

Re: Alexis on the move let's see where he lands
The words Alexis and partnership don't go together.
His game is defined by selfishness, yet unlike Robben it does not have the quality to fully justify that selfishness.
That's why Müller is a better player even in this his worst ever season, 14 assists is nothing to sniff at.

Re: Alexis on the move let's see where he lands
Sanchez - Lewa - Robben with Ribery/Muller/Coman as subs. And if Robben gets injured, we will have - Coman/Ribery - Lewa - Robben. Sanchez can play ST for a a game or 2 if Lewa is injured, can give us a 2 ST option as well.
He has 3-4 top years left & is ideal to be an instant star & starter that we need upfront. We can't pass the ball to Robben everytime & expect some magic. Besides Coman is too young & needs more time, Ribery shouldn't start. We need a top Winger who is upgrade over Costa & with Sanchez we get a backup ST too.
I think we can pay 12-15M gross wages, but the transfer fee is critical, considering Sanchez's age I find it hard to see us going much above our club record of 40M for Martinez. Anything above 45-50M & the deal is likely off. Also depends on Costa's transfer fee, whether we can get 35-37M or 45-47M off him !

Alexis is what, 30, and he's got just one contract year left? No way we should pay more than 35 million.

I wouldn't even mind paying 50m. We need to throw enough cash to turn Kroenke's head against Wenger's.
