PES decline is the reason FIFA are so *bleep* lazy ffs

It benefits EVERYBODY except EA workers if PES can do something

FFS my favourite game mode on fifa hasn't had a single change implemented in to it aside from picking your own kit numbers in 4 years.

EA can sit back, do nothing but pump out virtual UT cards for money because nobody is going to say "*bleep* this i'm buying PES from now on"

I do agree for them to compete it just can't play great, that's not enough anymore.

Recreate PES 5 in this era with updated graphics wouldn't cut it anymore, they need to do more I agree.

Just saying that for me a game that plays well is enough, I'm easily pleased basically.

But in general they obviously need to do more to compete.

Problem with FIFA is they invented the ultimate online game mode (For kids)

Ultimate team. Unless PES have some arcade style beast of an online game mode lined up they're not gonna compete any time soon

UT combined everything kids love

Pace, skill, ridiculously unrealistic 40 yard super shots from ANYBODY

Trading cards (Playing on dat dere pokemon generation)

Shiny variations of trading cards

Packs with cards in them.

It's like the perfect cash cow. And to top it all off, people have to restart their squad every damn year Laughing

Thing is it doesn't need to beat Fifa in sales. It actually never has done even in PS2 era Fifa sold more.

It was just a far superior game that enough word of mouth got around to make it competitive.

That's basically it, do enough to make Fifa actually improve its product.

But we say this every year so meh lol.

PES's tactical interface is superior though imo. FIFA have improved it for 15 though.

Presentation is huge, even I enjoy good presentation

When I see a game with ugly menus that I have to use all the time I lose interest. Something as simple as a flashy, easy to use menu helps a LOT.

Do agree, there is definitely more depth to how far you can take it.

Don't think it'll be just an Xbone exclusive. Ubisoft has go way more to lose by not releasing it on other platforms, Microsoft must've paid big bucks to make Ubisoft release it on the Xbone.

Surely Ubisoft would want some SERIOUS cash for them to not release the game on by far the best selling console.

I never understood that with some exclusives, how much money would it take to outweigh selling your game to a much larger customer fanbase.

Ubisoft? Wat? This is Square Enix, the people who have spent the best part of a decade making Final Fantasy XV. Ubisoft would never have accepted the money for an exclusive, unless it was something outrageous.

lmao Knew Tomb Raider was timed. There is no way MS would pay crazy money for it to be exclusive for life. Nor Dynamics n Enix will be that stupid to let that happen.

People will just wait for it to come to PC and PS4 now. It's not even that big to buy a xbox for.

Actually, in a day and age when one game failure is enough to kill off a developer, going exclusive might be the better option. By developing for one platform instead of 3-5, you save money on:-

1. Platform development costs, since you don't need to hire people to work on other platforms and you can just get a smaller team to focus on just the one

2. Marketing costs, since you are only marketing one platform and no other, and in some arrangements, you won't have to pay the marketing costs as all, and the platform holder will do so instead.

3. Packaging and shipping costs, since you don't need to get as many copies of games printed and shipped over to stores as you would if multiplatform

4. Royalty costs, where you only have to pay the one platform holder to sell your game on their console

All of this taken into account could easily half the overall amount a developer would need to spend on creating a game, and if the game underperforms, they wouldn't have to worry about going out of business.

If this is the cost of making sure that the gaming industry stays around long enough so that my grandkids can partake in it, so be it.

I refuse to live in a world where we only get sports games, GTA and COD because everyone else closed down.

After going over Phil Spencer's wording over and over again with a magnifying glass, I'm willing to take a bet that the game will be released on PC at some point, since PC sales are less susceptible to being hurt by a late port due to Steam and their ridiculous sales, but it won't see the light of day on PS3/PS4.

Phil Spencer actually clouded the whole issues instead of clarifying it, and the wording is very misleading if you don't read it many times over.

Overkill is developing a new The Walking Dead game, and it will feature a cooperative experience similar to the developer's previous work on the PayDay series, publisher Starbreeze announced today.

The title is still a long way off, slated for an unannounced 2016 release date, but The Walking Dead creator and Skybound Entertainment CEO Robert Kirkman has high hopes for the project.

Would be interesting if it was set in the TWD universe without following major points in the story. Don't like playing games based on movies/shows for 2 reasons

1. They've almost all been terrible throughout history

2. A story based game where you know the entire story beforehand is not fun

I hate Enix! The Final Fantasy series has gone steadily downhill, ever since Square merged with Enix Crying or Very sad
