Last year's CL and EL proved that our defence is not 100% dependable in big games. Though apart from Real Madrid, the other opponents were not considered much strong (Gala, Benfica...). we usually struggle against fast attacking teams.
Bonbon is our defence's Achilles' heel. he usually fails under high pressure and makes silly mistakes.
In overall, our defence is strong but SLOW (not surprising, considering the age of our defenders: Chiellini 29, Barzagli 33, bonbon 27, lich 30). It is note noticeable in Serie A where practically no team attacks us but in CL or even EL it is much different.

Romulo and Iturbe for Juve?




Romulo could be included as part of Juventus negotiations to sign Juan Manuel Iturbe from Hellas Verona.

The Bianconeri have made no secret of their interest in Iturbe, battling for his contract along with Milan, Atletico Madrid and Roma.

The price-tag for forward Iturbe is thought to be in the region of €30m (£24m), while Romulo is valued at €7m (£5.6m).

According to Tuttosport, Juve directors met with Verona today and proposed taking both players in a package deal.

Romulo’s versatility is key for Antonio Conte, as he can play right-back, on the right wing or in a more central midfield role.

It’s possible Stephan Lichtsteiner could influence the deal, as he has still not agreed a contract renewal and is on his way out of Juventus.

If the Bianconeri find a suitable replacement in Romulo, the Swiss international would be allowed to leave.

The Daily Mail claims Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal’s agent met with Manchester United on Friday.

Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also interested in the Chile international, but Manchester United have been consistently linked with the player.

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United directors met with Fernando Felicevich on Friday, right after his other client Alexis Sanchez signed for Arsenal.

The Red Devils are believed to have offered £35m (€44m) for Vidal, who joined Juve from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011.

The 27-year-old only penned a contract extension in December, so is tied to the Turin giants until June 2017.

Well, as I said before, its not the defense that we need to change in Europe, its the way we put the defence... Instead of playing with a 3 man defense and say that we need to buy new player, it would be better to change formation instead... Cuz I said earlier, we have good cover already, maybe 1 decent CB would do?

Regarding the Romulu/Licht rumors, I really don't want to see Lich leave... He is one of the best in his position out there. Romulu is welcome though...

LB problem solved guys lol .... Who was begging that we sign a left back?

Patrice Evra has signed the contract to join Juventus. A few minutes ago the French winger completed his transfer to the bianconeri after signing the contract via email from Los Angeles, where he is currently on vacation.

Obviously with Evra being our only "proper" left back he was guaranteed to be starting. The question is who will be Evra's back up ? Will it be Caceres, De Ceglie or will we sign another left back for the future ? Personally I'd rather have Caceres than De Ceglie.

Evra is a quick fix, by next season I expect us to sign a left back with more than 2-3 years of football in front of him.

Evra is horrible. Ok going forward but hasnt the energy to get back. The amount of time he jogs back with the play exploiting his side was ridiculous. Jumped the shark a few seasons ago.

I'm not very happy with Evra as our LB,he is past his prime but can be useful.But we had a good chance to sign another Ashley Cole for free and our rivals took him,Cole is far more useful LB than Evra.

If we go for that 18 mln deal with RM would be more a mistake than profitable.
We spend 18 mln,YES 18 ! on a RM young player,who has a lot of talent and may develop under Conte.
What do we win?
Well we get a talented player to play for two years with us,we grow him to one of the best strikers and send him back to win 35-18=17 mln

What a relief! however there are still many reports even from Chile TV that the deal is close to be done.
even some say we will bid £20m for pauliniho to replace Vidal but that doesn't make any sense.
why should a club sell its best player for £32m and buy another player to replace him for £20m+ only to get at most £12m?
I believe if we sell Vidal it will be for balancing our book after buying Morata and Iturbe and if that happens his replacement wont be an expensive player. Guaring maybe for 10m cash plus a player in exchange.
