If it's a free-kick that will be put up for grabs in the box, Gerrard. If it's a corner, then I might pick someone else. But Gerrard's set-piece delivery is just amazing.

The 5 in the box Adit named in the OP are a solid 5 I would be happy with.

It's tough in terms of who takes it, Xavi puts in solid delivery but its hard to notice because we have no aerial threats. But he is as good as any.

Im very happy adit named Mangala, 5 goals this season from set peices, 4 last year.

If I did have to drop someone, it would be Cristiano. My logic being, all of the other 4 guys are mobile movers who dont just outjump you but also find space in the box. I want one big guy who is the main target on the face of it, who draws attention, even if he is reasonably static. So say the most obvious ones like Lacina Traore or Peter Crouch.

Even at his age drogba would still be one of my 5 players in the box.

Funny enough, I would have Drogba in the box defending a corner. Ramos I dont want in there.

I want Mata taking that set piece

yeah, ramos and skrtel are people you dont want in the box defending. One will lose his defender, the other will score against you.

Set piece taker: Gabi (second choice would be Ozil especially on corners)

I have no way to prove this statistically but I am convinced that the two I mentioned have the best delivery out of anyone out there atm.

5 in the box:

Ronaldo and Ramos:

Ronaldo makes the early run from deep which for most of this season has managed to pull away two defenders, this opens up space for Ramos who makes the late run unmarked.

Godin:

Godin positioning himself on the far post means that he'll likely have a much shorter player marking him. If the delivery is good he'll be able to attack it.

Mangala:

His added physical presence would likely create a lot of panic. In addition to the guys mentioned above the other team is likely to have their hands full. I'd position him at the near post near the keeper for maximum damage.

and lastly Ibrahimovic:

Not every set piece gets headed in immediately and the four I chose already pose enough threat in the air. Ibra is on my five to clean up the loose balls or to get on the end of flick ons. He should be able to thump in some loose balls if they fall for him.

Liverpool was the highest set piece scoring team in all of Europe. All thanks to Gerrard. The deliveries are 9/10 perfection. This should be a no brainer really, but as I thought not a lot of people watch us consistently to know this.
