candreva sucked so bad.. he was trying to dribble past players and he failed in all of his attempts.
cassano's all passes towards balotelli was wrong... cerci cassano insigne made italy worse.. .

Prandelli's decision to not select Rossi still baffles me.

This is like watching A. Madrid on steroid, CR players completely out muscled, out paced and outwit Italian players.
I freaking hate Insigne, Cerci approach, both fell right off their feet the 1st contact CR players made. Tactically wise, Caesar got outclassed big time.

england are out now!!!!!
where are the guys who overconfident about his england chance?
after this, maybe costa rica will give the free win for england to make their sadness level go down

Yes, mostly b/c they didn't have midfield anymore. It was a terrible starting line-up, followed by stupid subs.
Towards the end they should have been more cautious on defense, a point or 1 goal loss would have been the same. Kind of

Re: World Cup: Group D discussion
England had extremely low expectations before the tournament
We couldn't even match those low expectations and performed below them

I'm here and all I can say is that my passion for England, coupled with the quality of the squad, got me carried away. Should have remembered that Roy Hodgson was absolutely shite in his previous big job as manager of Liverpool and was absolutely clueless again as manager of England.
How about Costa Rica, though? Uruguay, world ranking 7th, Italy 9th, England 10th. They've beaten the two best and secured progress, themselves being 28th. What a showing from them, respect.
Italy v Uruguay should be some match.

The Queen must've paid them off after hearing Balotelli might start making out with her.

Re: World Cup: Group D discussion
Not an excuse for Italy, but still seems to me this is the first game so far where the weather was a deciding factor. 30+ degrees, 75% humidity, Costa Ricans are used to it.

I am so happy that England are out...the fans completely blinded by media and NT looks like they are forced to play for them.
Cost Rica also good that Italian players wont get any rest now

Re: World Cup: Group D discussion
pls eliminate Uruguay Cesare.
All Italy need now is a draw which means Prandelli will know what to do. (3 CB system pls)

No excuse. This team was lazy, unimaginative, unproductive, weak, passive, and all around passionless.
Re: World Cup: Group D discussion
1 concacaf + 1 conmebal to qualify
2 euro to go down
awesome situation

I start to believe in Löw
After all, didn't he say somewhere that in the Northern Brazilian climate, fast fullbacks would be mostly useless and that he expects all European teams who mainly rely on pace and speed would be out by the quarter final?
Italy looked as if they were standing dead in the humid heat of Recife, and Costa Rica who were used to such climate thrived.
