Re: World Cup: Group H discussion
I want us to do good. We have nothing to lose as the underdogs. WE have the players and chemistry to do it at this point, lets see if luck and mentality are on our side.

Obviously gonna be cheering for my roots here. Hopefully Kokorin gets a lot of playing time.
Should definitely get out of the group stages.

Re: World Cup: Group H discussion
Algeria actually have a pretty good side for this WC, I can see them progressing to the next round if Belgium or Russia slip up somewhere.
The likes of Taider, Feghouli, Bentaleb, Belfodil, Ghoulam, Mesbah, etc can match up with Russia's squad easily imo

Nope. Russia are easily better and Capello is coaching them.

Re: World Cup: Group H discussion
They probably are better but anything can happen in 90 minutes of football. I think this Algeria team can beat Russia or at least draw if fortune is on their side and if they play it smart.
I will be cheering for Russia in that match anyway, just saying Algeria shouldn't be underestimated and already labeled as eliminated because this is their strongest side ever with some good potential and talent.

Re: World Cup: Group H discussion
Our strongest side was actually in the WC 82. I am 100% positive we wouldve reached the last 8 with that hell of a team had we not got screwed over by match fixing.
Russia is the wild card, I think we are evenly matched. we have the best chance against south korea, im not too optimistic about belgium, lol

I think both Algeria and Korea will fancy their chances against Russia. Belgium will progress, but really difficult to say who will accompany them.

Russia and Belgium will go through. I think 1st will be a matter of goal difference as I think their match will be a draw.

Belgium will make it through.
Russia second, IMO.
If Belgium can get their act together, they will be too strong for any other team.

Russia don't convince me for some reason. I can see Algeria coming in second.

Re: World Cup: Group H discussion
The Belguim team dont impress me, and im talking on paper, where they are most hyped.
Centerbacks playing fullback, therefore no overlaps, less speed and worse in transitions.
No real holding midfielder really either.
Then again, this group overall doesnt really stand out anyway.

Kerzakhov was a hitman in his Sevilla days, guess he just fell off.
