Nigeria wtf. MT you scrub.
Don't think we've got a chance of getting out of this tbh. Hopefully we don't get completely embarrassed and get some points at the least.

Don't count us out yet, we're perfectly capable of flopping too, under this coach!

Joachim Löw is a terrible manager that much is certain, he flopped so hard in the euro's. hasnt done anything significant in management yet has the Germany job . This tournament is last chance for him. If germany dont make the final he is out.

I think the German players are too good not to get out of the group, no matter what Jogi Löw tries.

I'm predicting one of Portugal/Germany to go out in the group stages. Ghana will cope easier with the tropical climate and their squad is underrated.

Germans don't flop in the group stages. Especially this group. You will cruise it, and I think you know it.

The US will have to beat Ghana for that to happen lol
Anyway I think Portugal can top this group

Think we have a good chance against Ghana if we don't try to outrun them honestly.
Of all the 3 teams in this group, they are the ones I'd love to beat, even if we lose the other 2 matches.

Re: World Cup: Group G discussion
I would be hoping USA actually qualify from this group. Not because I'm some sort of Yank supporter but CONCACAF needs all the representation they can possibly get. Could care less for the other 3, particularly Germany. I hope they finish dead last.
If not finish dead last, make it the Semis and lose to Spain....again

I'm not sure about Portugal qualifying honestly, some great individuals there but horrible team. USA and Ghana have have good chances to qualify.

Why would you say that? Portugal never struck me as a bad team collectively. From an individual stand point they probably don't have enough high quality players which is why they can't seem to get over the hump.

Re: World Cup: Group G discussion
I REALLY think we'll make it out.
All people have been doing is bashing Klinsmann for his roster moves as of late. Even the minor decisions after leaving donovan off.
I just have a feeling he knows what he's doing and there's a method to the madness.

Re: World Cup: Group G discussion
When the bashers have settled down and have actually thought about this, they'll see how much sense this makes.
We've shown up, more or less, for the bigger matches under Klinsmann's tenure so that's got to give us some belief as well.
Like I said, we should be beating Ghana and should be aspiring to beat Portugal. We might even catch Germany napping if they've already secured progression by the time we play them. Highly unlikely, but not impossible.

I could be eating humble pie here but I honestly don't think the US will be winning a single game. :\
Catch Germany napping? Looking to beat Portugal? Sorry I just don't see it.

I can't even see them getting a single point out of the Ghana game, their squad is just so distressful.

With individuals I mean, CR, Moutinho, Carvalho, Pepe, Coentrao, Varela, Beto. That is not 11 great players but still a good core.
Yet they struggle against the likes of Northern Ireland, Israel, Ecuador etc... just can't get it done. That said it depends on how USA, Germany and Ghana show up against them. I still see Portugal going through but I won't rule out either of USA and Ghana.
