Re: The FA Cup Celebration Thread
Resolution. The end of heartbreaks. Glory is back.
Head was down on the table at 2-0, everyone in the pub was completely dejected. My little brother was just torn and my friend was devastated. Utter silence.
10 minutes later we were jumping as Santi scored his first ever Arsenal free kick not a minute too late. Incredibly nervy and Hull looked like they could have scored before our first. Then Kos pulled one back and we all went mad, fists in the air, sore throats croaking out praise and chants. 100+ Lebanese Gooners with hope in our hearts ready to burst.
Then, Aaron Ramsey steps up to the plate and we're gone. Strangers hugging each other and shouting, sweat infused with tears of relief as 10 minutes is all that's left.
A few fellas behind me started chanting: "campeones, campeones ole, ole!"
I begged them not to tempt the wrath of the football gods until after the game and they obliged. Sure enough, 5 seconds later, Fabianski flies 20 meters off his line and almost destroys everything.
And then. We won. FFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Re: The FA Cup Celebration Thread
the lineup for todays match was predictable.. we were getting good results playing the same team in the last 1 month, and we sticked on to it.. and Fabianski getting his deserved cup quota game...
Hull came with a 3-5-2 formation having good dynamic WB.. to exploit the weakness of this formation we needed wingers and we didnt have them.. instead we played it into their hands by trying to play through their crowded centre.. we were trying to push up our fullbacks forward for width but this exposed us to a lot of counters...
on the other hand Hull had a definite plan and they were hoofing in long balls from halfline and were concentrating on set pieces.. Arsenal was stunned to concede in the 4th min.. and before recovering from the shock conceded again.. and memories of Anfield and Bridge were looming in the heads.. and Gibbs saved the 3rd..
we were really nervous... never able to play our game.. ended with cautious slow backward passing.. we were going nowhere with this game.. thanks to Cazorlas moment of brilliance, probably his best Arsenal moment came under such immense pressure.. which eased the nerves.. we just needed one more goal to buy in some time.. from then onwards the team stayed calm and slowly grew into the game.. Hull too got tired and stepped down the gas..
the 2nd half started slowly.. and we needed to change things.. and surprise..! here Wenger went early at 60 mins for a 2nd striker with a system change... and it turned the game.. Sanogo was brilliant with his movements and directly took the game to their defenders while Giroud never really did this.. Kos the big game scorer scored again.. and it had to be Ramsey.. rt ? who finally found his finishing boots.. we played well in the 2nd half and ET.. created chances regularly and should have scored on numerous occasions... Gibbs had a shocking miss.. Giroud hit the post.. Sanogo was so close to opening his account on many occasions.. Roza and Wilshere added fresh legs..
it was not a excellent performance.. no player played was at his usual best today.. we were alarmingly poor in the first half.. but instead of waiting for things to change we made active changes in the game today and it was rewarded...
but what more you want from a Cup Final...?
It has to be done in the Arsenal way... right..?
really great to see the players celebrating...
some players to leave with their heads held high...
and no more joy than watching Wenger smile...

LMAO! Love his enthusiasm and how he wound up Chelsea fans before the game. That was pretty risky.
What an amazing day. Surely not one we'll forget anytime soon.

Approx 1200 - Arrive at Islington Town Hall
Approx 1300 - Depart Islington Town Hall
Approx 1315 - Arrive at Emirates Stadium. First-team squad will feature on stage above The Armoury outside at the south end of Emirates Stadium.
Approx 1400 - Event finishes

Will definitely be tuning in
Btw, surely I'm not the only one who noticed that Stan Kroenke was at the game today?

Is it me or is Pires the most supportive out of all our legends ? He never has anything bad to say about the club, the players or the manager. He is always backing the club to do well.
