Rumours are mostly about Morata and James. Bale is just papers talking. Sadly it won't happen.

Kovacic has so much potential. But he's too afraid to use it to his advantage. I am sure Chelsea fans will agree with me when I say Kovacic' instinct is to pass sideways or backward. Those players are really easy to find even in the B teams.

I lost count of the amount of times he used to dart forward using his speed but then passed the ball to either flank. Really irritating. He used to moan that he didn't get to play, here we are even Sarri is getting tired. I don't think he'll ever make it at a big team. Should probably go back to Inter

His selling for 35 mln has been one of our main deals, still grateful to Benitez for it.

Incredible Palmares Seedorf-esque but as bencher

Anyway I think he's improved in Chelsea years, isn't he ?
He was too inconsistent under us and honestly not a fan of his Madrid period
Glad for him , good footbaler and good guy indeed, I wish his best

He was a key starter for Tuchel prior to getting injured. He only missed the semis against Real because of it, and obviously Tuchel played it safe in the final and didn't want to play two not fully fit midfielders in Kante and Kova at the same time. Really unfair to consider him a bench warmer that got carried to an undeserved title, at this least for this campaign.

His biggest issue, at least for Chelsea, is that he's really not suited to play in a midfield 3. He's not really a mezz'ala. That's why he was sharing playtime with Barkley who is a much worse footballer but a better fit for that left or right sided CM role.

Almost every game he played in a double 6 role under both Lampard and Tuchel in the last two seasons he's been brilliant. Controlling the tempo, range of passing, pressing, positional awareness, ball retention, evading the pressure and then driving with the ball, he's excellent in all of those. He's a bit lackluster in his final ball delivery and awful at shooting, but these are less evident when he plays as a 6.

Like this thread is named nuovo trequartista? Yea he's obviously not that and will always struggle when playing there.
