Carvajal didn't shut down Ribéry. It was Madrid shutting down Bayern.

Carvajal shut down Ribery when they two met in Bundesliga and the two CL game. Carvajal exposing Ribery for the scrub that he is

Robben and Lahm are the only two in that team who actually try

I doubt Bayern start mandzukic again gotze and muller brought movement to the game and that means trouble ,they run between the lines and without mandzukic as target Madrid defend might make positioning errors .

I was worrying for no reason, Bayern didn't help them at all and never mind to unsettle Real defensive setup, they played in first half like its the first time they play as a team. Ribery was in despite his terrible performance in last game. Gotze out and when was brought in muller was gone. I'm not complaining as i found it hilarious

Ribery clearly does not like to face Spanish Right-backs.

First Azpicueta haunting him twice in a row and now Carvajal, though the latter was more a team collective shut-out of Ribery than individual.

Pace of Bale does not let the LB (Alaba) to venture forward hence Ribéry was always double teamed at positions where he could be dangerous. He had no space, you think Ronaldo or *bleep* Bale could do anything with a static team against a disciplined defence like that? Laughing

I don't doubt him but there's plenty of people that think he's a fluke.

I doubt he'd swap his treble for the Balon D'or tbh.

So blunt, yet so eloquently true Laughing

Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:
What i said is not bitter at all its fact.

Ribery consistently wins trophies while Ronaldo doesn't.... oh and that team is stacked because of Ribery not in spite of him, the only occasions Ribery didn't play last season Bayern lost.... if they were so stacked surely they wouldn't have any issues dispatching teams without him?

sportsczy wrote:CR7 would not have the trophy haul at Bayern because he would never survive there...  they don't accept his selfish brand of play.  He would have been shipped off after a year if he didn't fall in line.

Zealous wrote:

All in all Ribery should thank his lucky stars that he even came third. Suarez and Ibrahimovic are much better than him and he plays for a ridiculously stacked team in a ridiculously one sided league.

So, Man Utd won the premier league 6 times in the last 10 years, Bayern won the Bundesliga 6 times in the last 10 years. Is the premier league ridiculously one sided now as well?

And all that coming from a supporter of team from a league where for years there were Barca, Real, and then 25 points nothing lol.

Why u think the dwarf and your primadonna manage to score 40+ goals every season, because you league is so competitive? lmao..

Real buy the best players of the world for stupid amounts of money, but you haven't managed to even come close to winning anything in Europe for a decade, you got your ASS handed by Dortmund last year, you're a complete joke of a club, as is clear for everyone to see.

But Ronaldo cried in such a heartfelt way yesterday, a little boy in an injust and bad world finally getting recognized, and I'm not a monster, so I say congratulations and well done, little Cristiano, everything is going to be ok.

Gil wrote:Madrid fans (and haters) act like Ronaldo didn't dominate the English Premier League before he left for Spain. 3 League titles on the trot, 2 CL finals, winning 1 of them including a goal in the final.

That's in a much tougher League than the pathetic Bundesliga.

I keep hearing about Ribery's mythical team play that magically wins anything he touches trophies and titles but what has he done for France since Zidane retired? Answer me that question if he's so brilliant and such a generational talent.

Robben was and will always be > Ribery. Not that Ribery isn't an amazing player but imo people always overrated him and underrated Robben who imo was the only attacking player who still looked like he could produce something today.

Anyway inb4 Atletico.
