I don't think he would be a brilliant signing for Chelsea.

He played well for West Ham last season, but he didn't deserve the player of the year award and is overrated by many.

He would do a decent job in Chelsea's midfield, but he isn't the world class player that they need.

He would be okay on loan, but he should only be on the bench for the majority of the time. You should be focusing on buying better players like Modric, or any other top players who you have previously shown interest in.

We are still interested in Modric, Parker is a complete different transfer situation to him. The reason why the club thinks they need a DM is because of Essien's injury, and rather than buy, a loan move will be preferred.
