Major news from the Premier League where a number of national newspapers in the last few minutes are reporting that David Moyes is to be sacked by Manchester United after a poor season.

Out of curiosity, how many of you would rather take your time to rebuild. Youth academy etc.. Or is buying WC players the only option? Sorry if its a stupid question lol

I'd rather the first option, buying should be the last resort. Always look within then buy. This is why I like the idea of Van Gaal he tries to maxmise with what he has, then buy. He does it to an extreme on occasions though. Bayern wanted to buy a defender after his first season there, but he refused to when he really shouldn't have.

Youth system needs a bit of help too.

Yeah, I always thought there was a clause in his contract. In one of the articles I posted in the other Moyes thread it says the 6 year contract was on there for PR purposes, and that we've been looking at other candidates for awhile now.

Gary seems to be talking to much with his heart. Carragher got it spot on. Liverpool have similar principles as us when it comes to managers and time, difference is, they've caught up to the demands of modern football, while we are (were) stuck in the past. They gave Souness time, but they wouldn't give Hodgson as much time (different results and circumstances but you get my point). Btw, when Carragher brought up Hodgson, Gary Neville was probably thinking 'Oh shit, that's a good point' then he remembered he couldn't say anything because Hodgson is his boss Laughing
