Since it's second semester senior year...did you lose a helluva lot of motivation?

I find it hard to motivate myself to do anything besides AP work. And even then I only do it if I deem it an opportunity I should seize to do better on the test

Im experimenting with half-assing some work to see if I can still get good grades

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Though perhaps I never managed that that C I had talked about getting in AP Calc I managed to avoid, so I still have my perfect A/B record. Though I'm very sure I'll get a C this semester, it really has stopped mattering, so I cba.

Do you guys also feel very 'meh' about the uni workload? First seminar I went to, they recommended a 1:1 ratio of contact to self-study, then the more intro seminars I went to, the more recommended hours of study...
But now I'm taking it so relaxed, basically no study at all, doing the minimum required, when all my friends (doing other courses) are spending hours each day reading the textbook and stuff. Uni just seems disappointingly easy so far ._.

Yeah, but my friends are going to the library every day, using their time between lessons studying when I just walk home and reddit ._.

At uni, you are completely self-directed. You can do as much or as little as you want to do, so setting goals is important. Doing a certain amount of non-contact per day is trash. If you work efficiently, you can do someone else's "1 day of work" in 1 hour. What you need to do is get a calendar or diary and have due dates for doing things - and I don't mean just the assignment due dates. Time management and organisation can and will save your life if you let it... or you can do the whole paper the day before it's due and wing it.

Beatrix, it took me a week and half of uni to buy an exercise book, prior to that all i bought to uni was one black pen, which is more or less the norm for me, and despite that i always get good marks.

Trust me, this is the standard uni timeline:

Week 1-5: pretend you're still on holidays
Mid sem: exams are on, you have to do some work
Period between mid sem exams and final assignments being due: go into denial about how much work needs to be done, pretend you're on holidays again
End of sem: panic to finish final assignments
Stuvac: remeber that theres also final exams to do, panic and start studying for them

I've basically been winging it, there was a 1% joke statistics A4 project where I had to draw what stats meant to be, and I did it in about 3 minutes and submitted it to the box instead of giving it to the lecturer because I was embarrassed at how little effort I put in..

Also, can one of you mods slap RG until he adds Brisbane time in, it's getting annoying .
