Seedorf has been far from perfect, however he deserves the chance to make the changes he wants in the summer and at least a year at the helm, ideally two, in which to show progress. I personally feel that Berlusconi will not act against a man with whom he has such a close relationship; personally I feel it's just a media circus which will blow over soon.

According to the press Allegri was sacked about a dozen times during his management. Seedorf's position is safe, rest assured.

Clarence Seedorf will have lunch with Pippo Inzaghi today amid reports the ex-striker will be Milan Coach next season.

The Rossoneri have moved their training schedule to morning sessions and not just in the afternoon, an adjustment the players are said to be happy with.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Seedorf will have lunch with Primavera youth team Coach Inzaghi today.

It is a curious coming together, as there are growing reports Inzaghi will be the Milan tactician next season if Seedorf fails to turn the situation around.

CEO Adriano Galliani had wanted Inzaghi to take the job when Massimiliano Allegri was sacked in January, but President Silvio Berlusconi insisted for Seedorf.

Now La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Berlusconi is preparing a ‘dossier’ with his lawyers so that Milan can terminate the contract without paying out too much of a penalty.

The Dutchman put pen to paper on a deal holding him to the club until June 2016, worth a rumoured €3m per season.

Similar to the move Lazio used against Vladimir Petkovic in January, Milan aim to terminate the contract due to ‘just cause’ as he ‘damaged the image of the club.’

Among the elements they are working on, this week one of the chief Ultras said Seedorf told him he didn’t want three quarters of the current squad.

Adriano Galliani reportedly outlined to Clarence Seedorf yesterday evening exactly what is required of him to save his job at Milan.

The Dutchman has only been in charge of the Rossoneri since the end of January, but poor form and reports such as apparently telling Ultras he intends to offload three-quarters of the current squad have the club considering his future already.

Yesterday evening saw Vice-President and CEO Adriano Galliani meet with the 37-year-old, as he accompanies him on a pre-match training retreat for the squad ahead of their upcoming trips to Lazio and Fiorentina in the coming five days.

The Gazzetta dello Sport today say that this meeting saw Galliani outline to Seedorf the criteria for him to remain in his position, at least until the end of the season.

Whilst a turnaround in results in the next two fixtures is a must, it is supposedly not the only stipulation handed down to Seedorf.

It is understood that the Coach must also demonstrate a change in his managerial techniques with the current group of players.

Seedorf is reported by Tuttosport as using the meeting to strongly deny the comments attributed to him by one of the chief Ultras that he wants to ship out three-quarters of the playing staff.

Even so, it is reported also that assistant Mauro Tassotti has been put on alert, to prepare to take over in an interim role to the end of the season if Seedorf is sacked, before a decision on a long-term successor - rumoured to be Pippo Inzaghi - is made in the summer.

Clarence Seedorf insisted he wasn’t given an ultimatum, but reports continue to claim he’ll be sacked if Milan lose heavily to Lazio.

The Coach was bullish in his Press conference, assuring there was no truth in the suggestions he had two games to save his job on the Rossoneri bench.

He only took over from Massimiliano Allegri in January and the switch had started well, but a run of four consecutive defeats in all competition plunged the club back into crisis.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, assistant manager Mauro Tassotti has been put on stand-by to become Caretaker Manager if the defeat to Lazio tonight is a particularly heavy one.

It’s claimed in several papers that President Silvio Berlusconi now regrets his decision to hire Seedorf and is listening to CEO Adriano Galliani, who had been against his arrival.

If Tassotti takes over for the remaining weeks of the season, current Primavera youth team Coach Pippo Inzaghi is the favourite to come in next term.

Other options are Parma boss Roberto Donadoni, who is another former Milan player, and sacked Zenit manager Luciano Spalletti.

There are also reports that Mario Balotelli and Adel Taarabt will be dropped this evening in favour of Giampaolo Pazzini and Keisuke Honda.
