---------Modric--Alonso---Illarramendi
-------Di Maria--------------Ronaldo

Ancelotti pre match:
“It's an important match at an important moment because it's the last of the year. Valencia has changed manager and we're going to be playing against a team that is motivated and focused, because that's what happens when the manager changes. It's an important match at an important moment because we want to end the year well, playing quality football and picking up the three points. We've had good results there in the past, but every match is different and it'll be difficult”.
“We've played good matches, but it's normal for it to be more complicated to win away games. It was strange against Osasuna because the first 30 minutes were very good. We started out well and tomorrow we have to continue playing well in order to win”.
Prediction:
Valencia 1-2 Real Madrid

Watch Valencia play like a boss against Real Madrid and do the opposite in the next match. Judging by form and position, RM should win but its Valencia and I think they'll be a real test honestly...

Yepp Varane is still injured. they will assess him in january in case he needs an operation
I prefer Nacho next to pepe for the rest of the season. Ramos is just a red card waiting to happen. glad Llorente got a call up as the 3rd CB, just goes to show carlo is actually following their progress and calling up those who deserve to get called up
predicting a scrappy game. Hopefully we don't let them score firsr because that will just make it hard for us in the end

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid discussion
nice goal from jese....i like my forwards to be a bit selfish, but at the end cristiano really should have passed back to benzema....maybe he suspected (as i do too) that benzema wud have fumbled and missed an easy chance, which he is prone to do now and again....but that should have been a return pass from cristiano...happy with the win though

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid discussion
Its so depressing to see our CF be really shite yet oon the pitch for the full 90 minutes while Morata sits on the bench
at this rate I'd pay Arsenal to take him off our hands
As for the game. uh next one please. Ramos letting two goals by allowing players in front of him to score. until varane gets back we should play pepe and nacho who have been ten times better than ramos. Along with Benzema and Cacktrao definitely the worst so far this half season

Cacktrao just doesn't have the desire to play for us again. I think he made that pretty clear in the summer. he is using the injury as an excuse to avoid being called up
the guy isn't even cup tied either lol can definitely see him going somewhere probably to Chelsea or United this winter

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid discussion
Benzema had 36 passes with a 78% pass accuracy. Ronaldo made 32 passes with 91% pass accuracy and shot the ball 3 times yh ronaldos fault benzema stunk the place up
stop using ronaldo as an excuse of why benzema is so shite

Coentrao might want to go, but he is a great professional imo, and Carlo likes him. If he wasnt genuinely injured, he would be playing his share of games.

Is "look at CR" your only excuse when Benzema plays bad?
Benz played like crap. Deal with it. And CR is allowed to play crap because most of the time, he doesn't play crap. Benz in comparison plays crap all the time, but still gets a free pass from Ancelotti because god knows why.

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid discussion
benz will get a pass for this season cos we have no alternatives (morata didn't play well against xativa, who are nothing compared to liga sides, so no, people should stop thinking a young and rough around the edges morata will bench him), but i hear we are looking for a striker in the summer. i don't think perez is even that big a fan of benzema as we think; in comparison to higuain, yes perez was a fan of benz, for obvious reasons...but even he knows that we need a better striker on this team, that should happen in the summer. so for now we are stuck with benz, but zidane can only protect him for so long

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid discussion
Whats Zidanes role in Madrid? Shouldnt his presence improve our gameplay, so far the only contribution Ive seen from him is clapping his hands.

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid discussion
to answer "the xcx", zidane is an assistant coach, and (if i'm not mistaken a sporting director) but he cannot override ancelotti, which is a weird conundrum. but zizou has been helpful in the past, he was influential in us landing varane; utd were interested in varane at the time, and had been watching him for a while; zizou was also influential in isco joining (according to isco), as well as jese staying. and i hear (from alonso to modric to benzema) he works with the lads in training as well. the one season benzema found some form, was when zidane took to training him personally, going on hiking and teaching him about diet, and whilst i don't like benz, he hasn't been majorly injured or out of commission for long lapses since then.....after jese scored i liked that zizou celebrated with the team like one of the boys, the guy loves madrid, albeit he only played here for 5 years and did not win as much as he would have liked....the protection of benz is probably my only issue with zizou, but its expected, you can't expect him to leave his countryman out to dry without assisting him, he speaks up for the guy when everyone bashes him. so zidane does play a role in this team...not to mention he prolly helped ancelotti get acclimatized to real madrid, cos carlo signed a bit late and zizou who has worked with carlo as a player was already here before the manager got in.

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid discussion
The defense needs to pick up their game especially Ramos, he is at fault for both goals and a few errors in defending set pieces.
We need Varane, or Ramos on form and fast.
