Those were both in the summer window. Clubs don't generally rebuild whole sections of their squad in the winter, when prices are customarily at a premium and players all too often struggle to settle and adapt quick enough.

Mourinho will be sufficient to limit him . He will be his Kryptonite imo.

Guarin is enough anarchic in field, but I think  Mourinho will straighten him ... because if a player is anarchic ( tending to overdo , tend to turn off brain ... as Guarin sometimes does ..) with Mournho ,then this player is intended for only one thing: the bench.

My prediction : He will be very useful to Chelsea for these reasons, because he is a good potential that needs to be enhanced.

I'm with Kick, I was hoping for us to re-sign Matic. I wouldn't be surprised if we did but I just don't see it happening in January though.

On a serious note, I feel like he's a Ramires kind of signing. Low-key, difficult to explain prior his arrival.

What I do like is his strength; we went from the most feared/powerful midfield during Ess-Lamp-Ballack times to a trio that never seem like gelling any time soon

interesting, that basically means the fee is agreed, just depends on Inter and Matic.

lol Kick, Guarin is not all that special. Most of the time he runs around like a headless chicken and has more long shots than Ronaldo and Bale combined. I don't know how he will fit in a Mourinho team. Won't be such a big loss for Chelsea.
