I guess I see a very different Masche than you because for Argentina a) Masche has help from Gago/Banega so he is allowed to chase the ball and b) he is consistently our weakest link in midfield (not his fault, he doesn't play there every Sunday anymore). Even some River fans even want him out of the team.

In any case Masche for Argentina is alright, but for Barca that's not the case.

The is a good reason Mascherano has no longer been given chances at DM since year 1, but he was so bad there is no hope for him.

I mean, his passing and composure is way-wood for the CB position..how can anyone think about moving him forward again if he cant even get that easier task right?

Dont you remember the pity sub in the cup game? He was so bad he had to be taken off at HT because of the damage he was doing and the almost obviously inevitable 2nd yellow.

Its the exact same as saying, how come Song dont get no more chances at CB? Its because its clear he is awful there and putting him in that position would only serve to embarrass him and harm the team.
