Xavi and Fabregas need benching badly. Iniesta has to play so that Messi doesn't have to carry midfield also. I would also play Tello before Sanchez.
Pinto
Alves - Bartra - Mascherano - Adriano
Sergi - Song - Iniesta
Pedro - Messi - Tello
Alves - Bartra - Mascherano - Adriano
Sergi - Song - Iniesta
Pedro - Messi - Tello

I don't understand Martino why start xavi every game, dude is 34 years old.And Martino let him play 90 mins every game. come on..man

Xavi might be 34 biologically but he isn't trotting around like a 78 year old on the pitch like others.

I think you should replace Martino as you have talent. But Xavi is not running through defenses like other 78 years old granny. To make those runs effectively and fast you need big energyFußball wrote:Xavi might be 34 biologically but he isn't trotting around like a 78 year old on the pitch like others.

Barcelona line-up (official): Pinto - Alves Pique Mascherano Alba - Xavi Busquets Cesc - Alexis Messi Pedro
Same lineup as last game. Guess Martino wants the same bunch to redeem themselves.

That's kind of ingenious, if it works.

Bartra watching from the stands...he injured?
Re: FC Barcelona - Real Sociedad | Copa del Rey Semis | Feb 5th, 2013
Playing shit on a stick again. Scrubscherano already *bleep* up in the 3th minute. Vela walzing through the middle like prime Maradona. Pedro pumping in pointless crosses from the left. Scrubchez can't dribble past himself and misses open net. Flopregras totally irrelevant.
Messi is staying more upfront though. He isn't DMessi today. Good on him.

Was just about to say that Masch and Busquets are shocking players atm, but then Busquets scored.

Should have been penal for Sociedad, no? Scrubscherano got outpaced and outmuscled there by Vela and threw himself into Vela.
Pointless game now with Martinez' red card.
Pinto > Valdes. Nothing new there.

Satisfied with our performance so far, bar Mascherano of cos.... I just dont know, Pique doesnt have the pace and Mascherano is the one responsible for these counters vs fast strikers I guess....but he just makes too many cruicial mistakes and the decision could have gone either way, when the F r we going to buy a proper CB ffs!
What happened with that red card anyone know?

I guess something along the lines of "puta" and "madre" came out of Inigo's mouth towards the ref.

Ok....I wouldnt know but I thought its common that players make abuses, and it would have to be pretty bad to warrant a red.... game ruined... dont mind it too much since even easier for us now

Messi yellow from hitting the ball? Bahahhaa, RFEF on the roll from here on, you watch them giving one in the second leg.

Better football now. Good pressing. Good tiki-taka.

Messi more involved in the play, working harder going forward as well as contributing more to pressing. You rather see him like this than score goals? I do.
Alexis had a poor match. Been off for a few matches now.

Re: FC Barcelona - Real Sociedad | Copa del Rey Semis | Feb 5th, 2013
Alexis has been like this all season. Except that he's found a way to poach a few goals here and there ocassionally. His overall play was never better than this.

That was fairly awful, more luck than quality, as soon as Iniesta brought some additional quality on the field, the team had a second option and it became better.
Messi was a lot, a lot worse in this game, but still probably the best player, which is itself fairly alarming.
