Ehhh, not a fan personally. The disparity among them gives a bit of visual variety. A front page with a wall of identically-formatted thread titles seems....drab and uninviting, to me.

The other option is to come up with nicknames for them, perhaps?

I wouldn't mind it for less prominent players but I think it looks tacky and unprofessional and those threads would get more traffic than one for Mikel or Hilario.

I don't agree. I think the traffic to our threads as a whole would decrease if every player thread were one uniform absolute.
