The list of English clubs reportedly interested in signing Inter centre half Andrea Ranocchia has lengthened with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur entering the fray.

The defender could leave the Nerazzurri this winter as he seeks continuity during the second half of the season with the World Cup looming large.

According to Sportsdirectnews.com, the former Bari and Genoa player is a transfer target for both Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger and Spurs coach Andre Vilas-Boas, who are looking to provide depth to their respective squads as they challenge on the domestic and European front.

Ranocchia, who has previously been linked to Manchester United and Chelsea, is not a guaranteed starter under Walter Mazzarri and could be tempted to leave the club if a good offer came along.

There is Juventus on Ranocchia

This is the headline on the front page of the Corriere dello Sport. The Roma based newspaper believes that Juventus are very much still in the race for the Italian despite strong push from English giant Chelsea. Antonio Conte has long been a great admirer of Ranocchia and he believes the player is the one to strengthen the defense.

TBF,Ranocchia was always more talented.He's just the most mentally fragile defender I've ever seen.He can go from having a world class game to utter garbage just because he got hit with the ball in the face.That actually happened.So easy to disturb him...

I've never said that.Infact i've never rated Rannochia to be really honest here.He's only good in the air and plain sucks in all other aspects.

Its not like Bonucci is that great a defender either though.There are just not many quality Italian defenders coming out of the ranks nowadays.

Andrea Ranocchia, who has a very uncertain future at Inter, could be the long term successor of John Terry at Chelsea. Ranocchia does not want to renew contract

No one knows for sure what the future of Andrea Ranocchia would be. The Italian defender has not received regular minutes at Inter and so it will be up to management to decide what to do. The player has an expiring contract in 2015 and for now, it doesn’t seem that he is willing to renew.

I hope we sell him. I've been trying to stay positive when it comes to Rano ever since we bought him, saying he will definitely improve. I've certainly given up all hope on him.

Borrussia Dortmund interested in Ranocchia

Borussia Dortmund are on the trail of Andrea Ranocchia.

According to Luca Marchetti, “there is still no contact fax or phone but it will happen in the next few days.” Klopp is going to lose two important central defenders in Hummels and Subotic and is looking at the international market to replace at least one of the two. On the radar, there is Andrea Ranocchia and signing the Italian could give Inter the resources to actually do something this month.

According to Evening News 24, there is even Norwich as a potential candidate to land Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia. The club already has 8.3 million pounds to offer Inter but they will have to deal with super competition from Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund.

I see potential in them still. Tho, I have a nasty habit of doing that to alot of players. Sometimes I get to say I told you so & at others I feel like everyone has a right to throw tomatoes at me.
