Has anyone seen him play? Really outstanding performances from the times i've seen him, as as it pains me to say he been great for Inter. Bonucci-Ranocchia future partnership for Italy hmm

Wasn't he supposed to be the new Nesta ? He's the best Italy has at the moment. ( he will partner Masi in 2016)

Chiellini, Bonucci, and Barzagli say hi. Even Paolo Cannavaro has a better case for.himself than Ranocchia in my opinion. Ranocchia is good, but claiming hes the best defender Italy has is a joke.

Back to the OP, Ranocchia and Bonucci have already been CB partners at Bari. They were the main reason that newly promoted side made it well into mid-table. Then they got bought by Inter and Juve, respectively... and Bari was subsequently relegated.

For me, Ranocchia is a good player, but is very mistake-prone: own goals, bad backpasses, etc. Still needs to develop his reading of the game.

He is far too inconsistent. He has all the ability to be MILES better than Bonucci and Chiellini, but that only shows twice out of ten games. The other times he is no better than Bonera on a good day.

Good, solid - not worthy of any extra hype though

If anyone is worthy of hype its probably Juan Jesus just because he had much lower expectations and is so young hmm

yes some people nailed it. he just needs more consistency. he definitly has his moments when he bosses games but overall he's a good player but not a great player. the promising thing is that he's definitely improved since his start with us

also should be mentioned that he came to us during one hell of a messed up time. dunno how many managers he's had, maybe 4 in his short career with us and numerous cb pairings changing all the time
