FIFA at it again
FIFA at it's best again... Spain used more subs than it was allowed in a friendly vs South Africa and instead of punishing them on some way they decide to make that game no valid and result to not count so South Africa won't get any points for beating 1. World's team..
What a *bleep* joke. *bleep* FIFA seriosuly. When Blatter takes his last breathe football will move out of the dark age.

Re: FIFA at it again
The game should be announced 3-0 to South Africa.
When Blatter finally goes, do you think a decent person will replace him? Nah mate, it'll be Platini. same old crap

FIFA is arguably the most corrupt institution on the planet.Natalie Portman wrote:The game should be announced 3-0 to South Africa.

It has been a long time since I've heard a major FIFA decision and didn't get upset

Even the Spaniards are furious with this decision, that's how bad of a decision it is

Re: FIFA at it again
Awful, awful decision and a massive show of disrespectful towards South Africa, who worked their asses off to get that a win.
This type of situation is extremely rare, but the rules are extremely clear also. Spain needed to have toughed it out, just like everyone else.
Julio Sergio crying in goal after suffering an injury after Roma had used all their subs, instantly comes to mind.

Re: FIFA at it again
I remember that and credit to him for doing it, but that was just stupid. If that would have happend at my team, I would have been furious with him and the coahc. In the first leg of Portugal - Sweden, Isaksson got injured after C.Ronaldo stepped on him. I was furious with him for playing on, seeing as he almost cost Sweden a goal by doing just that.McLewis wrote:Awful, awful decision and a massive show of disrespectful towards South Africa, who worked their asses off to get that a win.

If that happends, imho, the keeper has to come off and a defender should be the goalkeeper.

Re: FIFA at it again
I thought pushing the date for votes was bad but they just happen to top their madness within the space of a couple days.
Seriously, how did Spain breaking the rules made the match "invalid"?

The moral of the story here is that if you both cheat and lose anyway, FIFA will give you a result and help you on your way
FIFA, giving people 2nd chances since 2013

Re: FIFA at it again
Obviously it's unfair that the victory didn't count for South Africa, however it was only a friendly.

Re: FIFA at it again
IMO, Spain should have been allowed the extra sub as a sign of goodwill by South Africa. C'mon its a friendly, not a WC Match.
But still FIFA
But still FIFA

Which is an officially sanctioned FIFA match so I do not see your point at all...Yohan Modric wrote:Obviously it's unfair that the victory didn't count for South Africa, however it was only a friendly.

Re: FIFA at it again
A points system is used, with points being awarded based on the results of all FIFA-recognised full international matches. Under the existing system, rankings are based on a team's performance over the last four years, with more recent results and more significant matches being more heavily weighted to help reflect the current competitive state of a teamFalcaoPunch wrote:How are Spain still ranked number 1?

Re: FIFA at it again
All joking aside, if the cheating team wins you void the match
If the cheating team draw... you void the match
If the team who cheats lose the match, what the f*ck kind of logic do you follow if you void the match in favour of the cheating team?

Defo should be a 3:0 for South Africa. Aren't there rules about such stuff?
