Poor pass-back early on put De Gea in trouble. Committed to the attack with forward runs, but was pinned back when Sturridge moved to the right. Lost Walker for the goal and was unable to prevent the cross; furthermore he was guilty of keeping Welbeck onside after his team-mates had stepped out.

Sounds like someone didn't get much playing time this season.

He was good against Udinese in the last game. A definite improvement over Antonini. Then again a traffic cone is an improvement over Antonini. Hope he turns out to be a star for us in the future.

This "tackle" is undoubtedly his greatest contribution.

Congratulations to Didac Vila who won the Euro u21 tournament with Spain.
Dídac Vilà 7.0
A lively presence on the left. Didac has rebuilt his reputation in this tournament following a difficult six months in Serie A. Set up the goal with a fantastic cross and was a constant threat.

Re: Forum Milan Channel: LIVE!
Pato's boots are simply grotesque. Pink and dark purple with sections of bright green? The shadow over Robinho's makes them slightly more acceptable at least.
I actually don't like the away jersey as much as I initially did, however I still might grab one later on in the year.

I hate those boots on Pato and Robinho. Give me the boots that Van Bommel is wearing and I'll be happy. Mine are in poor condition after using them so often.

Pato and Robinho probably wouldnt have a choice in what boots to wear (especially for photo shoots)
They are paid by Nike to wear their products and Nike have every right to choose the style.

Re: Forum Milan Channel: LIVE!
The Italian Fergie (minus the wallet)
Who put AC Milan back at the top?
Massimiliano Allegri spends his time with Adriano Galliani, having working dinners and transfer meetings. Unlike previous Rossoneri "coaches" Allegri has become a "manager", playing a key role behind the scenes as well as on the pitch.
Who knows if Galliani guessed things would turn out like this when he claimed Allegri was the perfect fit for AC Milan. A year ago, the main factor behind the Rossoneri board's decision to plump for Massimiliano Allegri was the "beautiful football" he got Cagliari and Sassuolo playing. Nothing more, nothing less. Now, on the third floor in Via Turati, there is a "coach" who has become a "manager", in the English interpretation of the role – that is, someone who deals with more than just teach tactics and technical skills. A person whose realm doesn't end at the gates of Milanello (AC Milan's training ground) but whose influence extends upstairs. Let's say he's a sort of Italian Alex Ferguson minus the wallet: Allegri doesn't have the cash to flash in the transfer market, and the final decision remains with the club's directors, but he is in daily contact with the purse-string pullers. Something that he already did at Cagliari.
HOME FROM HOME IN VIA TURATI — A mini-revolution has taken place at the club which, in the Berlusconi days, had become used to running internal affairs in their own way. Nowadays plans are made almost on a daily basis. They have found harmony through instinctive understanding and mutual admiration resulting in a close, working, professional relationship between Allegri and Galliani on a day-to-day basis. They sometimes lunch or dine together, the coach follows his vice-president on his travels (which are usually connected with transfer deals these days) to Versilia, he participates in the bargaining (He was present at all of the contract-renewal meetings), if there is one being played they sometimes watch a match together like the Under-20s finals, or to put it bluntly, even though he doesn't have an office there in via Turati, recently Allegri has been seen in the building at least once a day, if not twice. An example? He ate with Galliani a few weekends ago, the following morning he was at a meeting in Via Turati with his staff and then, in the afternoon he was off to yet another meeting with Kaka senior and Gaetano Paolillo. Just because he lives nearby doen't really explain all of this, though. "We see things in a similar light, and agree on everything," Galliani summed up the situation.
AUTONOMY AND TRUST — It's obvious to everyone that this is a new way here at AC Milan of interpreting the relationship with the coach including his predecessors. Without going too far back in time, Ancelotti :king: hardly ever went into the building and Leonardo stopped going there as soon as he became coach. So after his "on-the-pitch" revolution (with AC Milan light and nimble on their feet, changing to all running and muscle), Max from Livorno is offering the club a new interpretation of the club-coach relationship. AC Milan needed only one season and one Scudetto picked up at the first bite to start trusting him. The sensation in the corridors is that Allegri is a coach who the management of the club listen to. Most certainly more than some of his predecessors. Managing Ronaldinho , who was one of his president's favourites, is probably the best example of the autonomy and power he has been awarded by the club. And he has repaid them by rolling up his sleeves and and putting his nose to the grindstone. The "handsome guy with the face of an actor" as Berlusconi described him recently has left his job to someone with the face of an all-round coach. Even off the pitch.
Marco Pasotto
Just scoured through the news and found this, thought it was an interesting read. I'm incredibly pleased Allegri is so involved with all of transfer market issues. Didn't know he was going to be such a Non-stop workaholic I totally dig it.

Re: Forum Milan Channel: LIVE!
MILAN – Only four days left before the reigning Italian champions get back to work.
Since Silvio Berlusconi became president of Milan, the Rossoneri squad have been put through their pre-season paces 25 times. Tuesday will be the 26th. More importantly, the team have started training for the new season with the league title sown on their chests 7 times. Tuesday will be the 8th.
On Tuesday 12 July, president Berlusconi himself may make an appearance at Milanello to say welcome back to the players. Since the turn of the century, the President has been present and accounted for on the first day of pre-season training in July 2000 and then from 2007-2010.
By his side, as always, will be Adriano Galliani. The club CEO, a man with an indisputable emotional bound with the Rossoneri cause, has only missed the first day of pre-season training on one single occasion, in 2006, a year that is still making the news in Italian football.
For some of the current squad, this will be the first pre-season at Milanello. Kevin Prince Boateng, Urby Emanuelson, Mark Van Bommel, Taye Taiwo, Philippe Mexes and Stephan El Shaarawy. It would be the first time as well for Ibrahimovic, Cassano and Robinho, but the Brazilian is playing in the Copa America and the other two forwards will join up with the group on 18 July, having finished last season 2 weeks late due to international commitments.
The team veteran this year will be Massimo Ambrosini: This is his 15th pre-season.
Many thanks and best wishes to players who have moved on, Andrea Pirlo, Marek Jankulovski and Marco Borriello.
