We are always talking about players we have bought, or one we want to buy or the one we couldn't buy. We always moan about the one that got away. But why don't we cheer about the close save from the scrubs!!!

I remember couple of years ago we were regularly linked with Cole (with a C) and Heskey. Thank god, it didn't happen. Then there is Quaresma and Joaquim. I'm sure you people have lots more as you follow football and Liverpool more than I do.

Recently the ones I'm glad we didn't get would definitely have Dempsey on it. Also Sigurdsson and Ashley Williams.

Also Gareth Barry under Rafa is another one.

Dempsey wouldn't necessarily have been a bad signing.. good stop-gap. He was bought for 6m and sold for 6m. In addition to that, dem $$$$$ from shirt sales in USA.

Off the top of my head: Gaston Ramirez and Alex Pearce.

Dempsey was a very good signing for Spurs. He was their second most top-scorer ffs, and they sold him just because he wanted to leave. He was solid stop-gap and would have added much needed goals to our team in first half of last season.

Dittyo Siggurdsson, and I still like Siggy a lot. I think Brendan would have found a good role for him. A bit like a more skilled version of Henderson. Another goal scorer as well.

There was a LB/LW from Wigan (I think) who was linked for couple of seasons. He was from south america, I guess.

Not really, Salah would have been cheap anyway (was it £11m Chelsea paid?) and hasn't really had chances to show what he can do and impossible to say about Konoplyanka.

Well, he had 13 goals in 45 games for Dortmund in all comps last season, he's only been bad this season when their whole team has been bad. Difficult to tell about him, too.

Salah, yeah I'm glad we didn't get him as I don't think he's good enough.

Mkhi, I still wish we had signed. He's a good player regardless of his form with Dortmund.
