Re: Chris Hughton will be sacked soon
Norwich don't really have that much quality in their team so I'd say Hughton did well last season. Relegation fodders is where this team belongs, I don't know if they can replace him with anyone that would do better.
Who would they get? Martin O'Neil? Zola?

O'Neill is being appointed Republic of Ireland's manager. And yeah, this is one club where I don't think the manager's the problem. They simply don't have game-winners in their squad. I'd imagine that they would survive under Hughton and sacking him would be unwise.

They should take Grant Holt back.
I know he was pwned for asking for a transfer request, but I think he would really take the chance now. I saw him pumping gas for people the other day and he really looked hungry.

Ian Holloway to have a third go in the PL? Or is he taking a break from football?

Why would any team want Ian Holloway?

Re: Chris Hughton will be sacked soon
Norwich sack Chris Hughton & appoint under-18 coach Neil Adams as manager, according to Sky Sports.

Sacking him now with 5 games left in the season is just foolishness.

Re: Chris Hughton will be sacked soon
This just feels like their board was looking for the opportunity to sack him. Yeah, they are near the relegation spots, but this is Norwich we're talking about, what did they expect, a top-10 finish? The manager wasn't the problem here.

Re: Chris Hughton will be sacked soon
Norwich spent over 30m on forwards in the summer they are well within their rights to expect an improvement.
Hughton is a nice guy and we will forever have a debt to him for getting his back to the PL at the first time of asking but he's not a Premier League manager.
The sacking should have happened sooner in all honesty.

Re: Chris Hughton will be sacked soon
Should have been sacked months ago. I even completely forgot about this thread.
That Norwich team should be nowhere near relegation. Kept his job that long simply because he was a likeable black guy IMO.

teams like southampten and swansea totally make this point mute. moreover, norwich have spent ALOT of money, they expect a return. 10m+ on ricky van wolfswinkel

They brought in a few players but also let go of a couple of regulars. Also, most teams signed a bunch of players in the summer, actually many of them signed more players than Norwich, you can't really say "they spent money, they should be doing better" when pretty much all their competitors spent money, too.
I don't think Norwich could have signed much better players, either, in fact you could argue that signing Fer was quite the coup by them, both Hooper and Wolsvinkel arriving with a bit of a reputation on them as well. Redmond, too. All in all they've been performing close to their ceiling, imo, and Hughton wasn't the problem there.
