WBA played very well. They deserved a point. We didn't play well all match, just in parts.
Still top of the league.

Yeah with poldi, ox, cazorla and Walcott all out still we're bound to drop points. We should be much better when they all return. A point on the road and spurs losing overall decent result

I don't understand why Ramsey is having to move to accommodate Arteta it makes no sense to me.
Ramsey's form has been the best of his life and he's bing moved back on the wing to bring Arteta in for what reason?
Either way well fought point, we are looking more and more difficult to beat
But please SOME WIDTH FFS

Re: West Brom v Arsenal LIVE
I am going to take the positives out of this game. Lets me honest, our players looked sloppy and tired but we managed to pull through and get a point when west brom could have ran away with the game few times before we even scored.
The lads will get their much needed rest. The next 2 matches need to bring us 6 points. THat way we could cushion any lost points in the 3 subsequent matches.
Who are Liverpool and Chelsea playing next btw?
Btw, I am rarely critical of our players, but Jenko and Gibbs were sub par this match. Esp the former out of the 2. I would have put in Flamini for right back, and had Arteta paired with Ramsey with Gnarby on the wings instead.

Think Ramsey will go back to the middle once Theo is fit and Arteta is likely to go back to the bench. Wenger only played Ramsey out wide because Sagna wasn't fit, you can't have Gnabry playing in front of Jenkinson in a premierleague game. You are just asking for problems defensively.

Not good enough performance but still got 1 point, not bad at all.
I was surprised to see Gnabry on the bench, atleast he's direct and would've offered more in attack imo. Besides Flamini-Arteta is far too defensive, we don't need to be as cautious against teams like WBA. Wenger needs to decide, Flamini or Arteta in those kind of games. Flamini/Arteta - Ramsey would've been good enough for this game.
In reality we're lacking goalscorers atm, we have Giroud and erm... no one else. You can't count on Ramsey and other midfielders to bail you out all the time. At times we were making one-two's in WBA's box without taking enough shots, just passing the ball around... that's not good enough.
Cazorla, Podolski and Walcott can't come back sooner. Atleast Walcott will hopefully be back for Norwich.

Re: West Brom v Arsenal LIVE
Urban West Brom had more chances than Arsenal.
Was almost sure before the game that West Brom would get something out of this.West Brom cover all areas of the pitch as good as any team in the league which makes them very hard to play against. They have some good players who don't get enough credit like Ridgwell,Yacob,Sessesgnon,Amalfitano and It was my first time watching him,but I was extremely impressed by their rightback,Jones I think his name is.Shut down that very dangerous Arsenal left flank as good as anyone I've ever seen.
Credit to Arsenal though, the teams who are in contention for the Premiership every season are the ones that can pull off a result on their worst day,or their opposition's best.I can only think of Liverpool and Coty and kinda Chelsea who could do that othher than them.

And that's exactly my point, we didn't create enough but also conceded many chances. Ramsey who's incredibly good defensively partneres by one of Flamini/Arteta would've been just fine and in the form Ramsey is atm he would've found himself in good goalscoring positions which he couldn't at RAM or whatever position he was playingvivabarca38 wrote:Urban West Brom had more chances than Arsenal.

Re: West Brom v Arsenal LIVE
Sorry for not updating original post before the game. Had to leave at very late notice to meet up with friends to watch game. Wasn't planning too. Anyway, we're top!
