I think we played very well, just a lil bit unlucky. The penalty while not deserved I think it was the ref making up for the 1st mistake he made on us. Our defense is looking better, with the exception of set pieces, we should be ok once we recover some big names..

A draw away from home is a good result in case we draw in points with ajax we can count on that away goal.

Forza Milan

I concur, I don't think it's necessarilly Allegri's fault for the set pieces. Actually I don't know if I can fault Allegri for much. He got screwed by being forced to sign Kaka and not getting a single decent player this transfer window - save Poli.

But I see it every time. When our team truly shines. Show what they are capable of. It's always in the last 15/10 minutes of a match. It's like they wake up. Passing becomes fluid, movements are creative and helpful, and we always get close to scoring. I just don't know why they can't play like that all game.

Their is no energy in the team, no one to set the example....Its one of the main reasons why I still call for Nocerino to start games because I feel he brings that aspect to us as he puts constant pressure on the opponents all game and its something we need....players like Montolivo, De Jong and Muntari can never do this no matter how much talent they have....not to mention this season Montolivo has been piss poor not one good game so far from him not even in pre-season.

Actually, I think its part of Allegri's tactics so that we don't risk any injuries while our first team players recover. We can't play with that intensity throughout the match, its too risky; so we wait for the opponent to get tired, and then take advantage.

Hmm, very good point, I was thinking that Allegri intended for the first half to go at a slow pace but didn't think of this point.

Anyway, in the second half, we played beautiful football which is the result of Allegri's hard work and tactical intelligence. I just hope the management and the milan lab does their part and actually follow Allegri's lead, learn from their mistakes.
Sorry i didn't respond earlier.

There has been improvements by Allegri , mostly in defence but also in attack , how we link up and how we utilise the field . Agreed , but it's not like you make it out to be , at least if i am not that mistaken. Allegri didn't catch up with it two-three days ago , it's just any progress being made takes time to really become obvious. It's only normal that game after game we will be getting better and that Allegri will look to avoid any personal mistakes he did , mostly about tactics and which players he gives more responsibilities. Against Ajax we were lucky though , despite his plans being succesfull and the ref being unfair to both teams , we just couldn't score in the 2nd half even though we came close to scoring so many times.

I think once the team has all of our best players available and healthy , the real improvements will show up quite soon. We can already defend with the exception of set pieces and we can already create enough to win games with many sub players working hard. An optimist would say that all these games will help players like Zaccardo , Constant , Muntari , Birsa , Robinho , Niang , Emanuelson to stay ready and on from throughout the season. In addition to our best players coming back , we should be back with a bang i believe. Time is all we need , Allegri knows what to do with the players and most oppositions .

He still makes mistakes , as to playing Muntari all the time which he knows very well how limited he is , but i think he's afraid of over playing all his best players right now , or our A game. In case the injury crisis persists , not even Batman will be able to save us after. As for the base on the defensive side of things in the first half , again it had to with this as well i agree. But in any case , nobody credits Ajax for anything , as if we were playing alone. They need these kind of points in their home , they can't expect much more . Of course they would go bananas for the 3 points and go out to attack full time , thankfully Allegri with his tactics minimised the effect.
